  7. ABackup        A powerful backup utility, that may be used both for hard
  8.         disk backup and for file archiving.  Has a full Intuition
  9.         interface, a "batch" mode, can save/load file selection,
  10.         handle HD floppies, etc...  This is a *MAJOR* update, with
  11.         support for XPK library, child task for disk write, error
  12.         recovering when writing to a disk and more.  Include both
  13.         French and English versions.  This is version 2.00, an
  14.         update from version 1.60 on disk 759.  Shareware, binary

  18. MEM        A little memory game where the object is to remember the face
  19.         of a "thief" you are shown for a variable length of time
  20.         depending on the level.  You are then presented with a screen
  21.         in which you have to "recreate" the face using various select-
  22.         ions for eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth.  Version 1.0, binary
  23.         only.

  26. NickPrefs    An enhancement to IPrefs that manages three new preferences,
  27.         WBPicture allows you to display any IFF picture in the main
  28.         Workbench window, supplanting the original (and boring ;-))
  29.         WBPattern.  BusyPointer lets you edit the clock pointer used
  30.         by programs when they are busy.  You may create an animated
  31.         pointer.  Floppy provides the ability to mess with the public
  32.         fields of trackdisk, that is, the TDPF_NOCLICK flag, step
  33.         delay and the like.  Requires OS2.0, binary only.

  36. RachelRaccoon    A set of hand-drawn "Eric-Schwartz-animation-style" pictures
  37.         of a new cartoon character.  The pictures are overscanned hi-
  38.         res-interlace (704x480) and are provided in 16-color, 8-color,
  39.         and 4-color flavors so you can use them for Workbench backdrop
  40.         pictures.  The colors are arranged so that at least on Work-
  41.         bench 2.x you will have standard looking titlebars.

  50. PowerSnap    A utility that allows you to use the mouse to mark characters
  51.         anywhere on the screen, and then paste them somewhere else,
  52.         such as in another CLI or in a string gadget.  Checks what
  53.         font is used in the window you snap from and will look for
  54.         the position of the characters automatically.  Recognizes all
  55.         non-proportional fonts of up to 24 pixels wide and of any
  56.         height.  Works with AmigaDOS 2.0 in both shell and WorkBench
  57.         environments.  This is version 2.1b, an update to version 2.0
  58.         on disk 726.  Binary only.

  61. TKEd        TKEd is a very comfortable Intuition-based ASCII editor with
  62.         an english and german user-interface.  It can read texts packed
  63.         with PowerPacker, has user-definable menus, a comfortable AREXX
  64.         interface with 109 commands, an interface to some errortools
  65.         for programmers, macros, undo, wordwrap, supports foldings,
  66.         has an online help mode, and many other features.  TKEd is re-
  67.         entrant and can be made resident.  It's Kickstart 1.3/2.04
  68.         compatible, supports the new ECS-screenmodes, an application
  69.         window and checks itself for linkviruses.  Version 1.11, an

  73. TWA        A commodity that  remembers the last active window on any
  74.         screen.  If screens are shuffled, the window is automatically

  79. WBVerlauf    Allows the owners of AGA machines to create a nice Copper
  80.         background for a selectable color, using the whole 16 million
  81.         color range of the AGA chips.  By specifying the color of the
  82.         first and the last line of the screen, WBVerlauf will make a
  83.         smooth color change by setting a new color value on every
  84.         scanline.  Requires Kickstart 3.0.  Version 1.4, binary only.

  138.         to version 37.2 on disk number 601.

  146. Hackdisk    A complete replacement for trackdisk.device minus support for
  147.         5.25 inch and 150RPM floppies.  It offers a verify option and

  149.         Tag module and may be RamKick'ed or placed directly in the
  150.         Kickstart ROM.  Free for non-commercial use, assembly source
  151.         included.  This is version 1.12, an update to version 1.10 on

  155. KingFisher    A specialized database tool providing maintenance and search
  156.         capabilities for the descriptions of disks in the format used
  157.         by this library.  KingFisher's database can span multiple
  158.         (floppy) disk volumes, can be edited by text editors that
  159.         support long text lines, can add disks directly from unedited
  160.         email or usenet announcements, can remove disks, rebuild a
  161.         damaged index, find next or previous software versions, print
  162.         or export (parts of) the database, and more.  Includes a data-
  163.         base of disks 1-770.  This is version 1.11.  Binary only.

  172. BindNames    A solution to the problem of having to continually edit
  173.         your startup-sequence to add assignments for logical variables
  174.         when you add a new program.  BindNames will read one or more
  175.         files in a special directory and then create all the logical
  176.         assignments at once and it can figure out dependencies, so it
  177.         doesn't matter how you order the entries in the file(s).  It
  178.         will create directories that it can't find, such as RAM:Env
  179.         and RAM:T and will generate warnings for assignments that it
  180.         can't resolve.  Version 1.0, includes source, public domain.

  183. DirKing        A very powerful replacement for the AmigaDOS 'List' and 'Dir'
  184.         commands.  It gives full control on the format of the directory
  185.         listing and what information should be printed.  The directory
  186.         can be sorted on any field, or on several fields in the order
  187.         you want.  Supports many filters, such as name and date, and
  188.         the filters can be made effective on files only, directories
  189.         only or on both.  You can also define a pattern for each level
  190.         of the directory tree.  Has an LFORMAT option which is useful
  191.         for generating scripts.  A unique feature is the ability to
  192.         monitor the scanning process.  English version supplied,
  193.         German, French and Dutch versions available from the author.

  198.         simple mathematical formula.  (And it's NOT Mandelbrot!)

  201.         visual representation of abstract nothings...  This freely
  202.         redistributable version of Lyapunovia has been thoroughly
  203.         tested to work on all Amigas.  Special registered versions
  204.         with precision-extension, optimized for bigger CPUs, and
  205.         support of WB 2.0/2.1 and WB 3.0 displaymodes (all 256 colors)

  215. FileStorage    Small demo of a file librarian, a database for files.  The
  216.         database exists as a number of index files and disks where
  217.         FileStorage puts your collection of files.  FileStorage
  218.         'remembers' how many free bytes each storage disk has and
  219.         tries to fill the disks to the maximum.  For each file you
  220.         can add a 320 character long description and set 16 different
  221.         (user definable)  filetypes.   Searching / adding / deleting /
  222.         changing it's all there!  Version 1.2, binary only.

  225. RomCon        Converts a decimal value into a value represented by roman
  226.         numbers.  You can convert from decimal to roman or from roman
  227.         to decimal.  E.g. '1992' equals 'MCMXCII'.  Version 1.10,

  231. ScrnTst        A program to reveal small irregularities in the beam sweep of
  232.         computer monitors.  Uses the MOIRE effect to render such
  233.         defects more readily observable.  A short program which should

  238. SeePix        Based on Olaf Barthel's "LoadImage v1.11".  SeePix is an IFF
  239.         viewer/printer, featuring the ability to modify the colors of
  240.         a pic for printing, allowing for truer colors in the printout
  241.         (i.e. Blue prints Blue, not Purple), without modifying the pic
  242.         itself.  SeePix features an ARP interface, Iconization and the
  243.         PathMaster File Selector.  Manx AZTEC "C" Source included.

  246. Showgerb    A Gerber display program.  Gerber plotfiles are generated by
  247.         several CAD packages.  This program will display them on an

  254. Timing        A program to clock the time between two events.  You can use
  255.         several names, enabling the timing of different events.  Useful
  256.         mainly in scripts though other uses are possible.  Timing can
  257.         give the elapsed time in ticks, seconds or in the normal hh:mm:

  261. UCD        A utility for changing the current directory.  It scans a disk
  262.         and builds a file containing information about the directory
  263.         structure that makes it possible for UCD to change directory
  264.         to any directory in the scanned volume by simply naming the
  265.         directory without pathname information.  UCD can keep track
  266.         of the directory structure of multiple volumes.  Now supports
  267.         wildcards.  Version 1.15, an update to version 1.0 on disk 734.

  299.         be recalled at any time.  Handy for "on the fly" recording

  302.         of them, etc.)  Version 1.0, includes source.

  305. RSM        An ARexx compatible serial port manager.  Run your serial port

  309. VirusZ        A virus detector that recognizes over 500 bootblocks (196 boot
  310.         viruses) and over 70 file viruses.  The filechecker can also
  311.         decrunch files for testing.  The memory checker removes  all

  313.         checks memory for viruses regularly.  VirusZ has easy to use
  314.         intuitionized menus including keycuts for both beginners and
  315.         experienced users.  The totally new bootblock lab offers all
  316.         important bootblock operations on one screen.  VirusZ performs
  317.         a self-test on every startup to prevent link virus infection.

  335. GetSC        Gets the colourmap of a single specified or all available
  336.         screens.  The colour values are given in hexadecimal format.

  342. MakeInfo    A modified GNU makeinfo that allows you to easily create a
  343.         AmigaGuide(R) hypertext file from a TexInfo .tex file.

  345.         files.  This version fixes two nasty bugs: makeinfo working
  346.         on 68030 machines only, and amiga.tex not handling correctly

  351. RIVer        Many programs contain in their binary code an embedded version
  352.         ID, which is used by the AmigaDOS command 'Version'.  RIVer is

  355.         or to print it in a table where each field of the ID is clear-

  366. SetSC        Allows you to change or remap the colours of a screen.  SetSC
  367.         gets the colourmap from a file by using the map's name, from
  368.         the Workbench screen or directly from the command line. SetSC

  374. Spartan        The sources to the Spartan PD scsi interface driver for Amiga
  375.         500 and Amiga 1000 originally by Paul Harker.  This is an

  384.         Supports SHAM, CTBL, and PCHG images, full support of ECS/AGA

  460. MakeDMake    An automated DMake file generator.  You give it the names of
  461.         all the C-files used to produce your executable (except
  462.         #include'd .c or .h files), and it will automatically scan
  463.         them to find all dependencies, and produce a ready to use
  464.         (in many cases) DMakeFile calling DCC with options you will
  465.         need for normal compilation and linking.  Version 0.15,
  466.         includes source.

  469. PongoDemo    Demo version of PONGO 1.1, a 3D dynamic modeling program that
  470.         loads, animates and transforms 3D objects in many different
  471.         ways.  This demo version only supports the IFF ANIM5 file
  472.         format for animations, with the "Save Imagine object" feature
  473.         disabled.  Supports the following types of morphing: Transcale,
  474.         Taper, Shear, Rotate, Twist, Bend, Waves, Radial Bend and
  475.         Metamorph.  All transformations may be combined (i.e.  you
  476.         might both Twist and Shear an object at the same time).
