  21.         What does "Convert" ?
  22.  
  23.         "Convert" is a powerful file conversion program. It covers the
  24.         application domain of any ASCII file conversion tool between
  25.         Amiga and any other computer system.
  26.         In addition to that "Convert" is freely configurable, so that
  27.         it can be used for any conversion problem.

  30.         Contents of this archive

  32.         "Convert" v2.0 was developed and tested with AmigaOS 2.04.
  33.         It make use of special OS2 features, so it does not work with
  34.         Amiga OS 1.3.
  35.  
  36.         For users of Amiga OS 1.3 the older version v1.2 of "Convert"
  37.         is provided in this archive. The graphical user interface was
  38.         designed using version 4.5 of Torsten Jürgeleit's 
  39.         "intuisup.library". Therefore the whole control panel of "Convert"
  40.         looks "2.0 like" also with OS 1.3. Version 1.2 also works with
  41.         AmigaOS 2.04 (!), but does not contain the new features.

  43.         The package also includes the shell version of "Convert" named
  44.         "Cvt". There are also existing two versions (v1.2 and v2.0).

  46.         The documentation has been rewritten for Convert 2.0. The file
  47.         "ConvertDocs.txt" contains the documentation in ASCII format,
  48.         "ConvertDocs.ps" is a Postscript source text which can be
  49.         sent to a Postscript printer via an appropriate utility.
