What is the package 'TimegGuardian'?
====================================
'TimeGuardian' is a program package which allows you to start easily events,
that have to be done at certain times or dates on your computer. You can also
write log files to disk, where you can see when your computer was switched
on.
Who can use TimeGuardian?
-------------------------
* You are a software developer and work on more than one project?
* You are a software developer and want to know how much time you spent on
a certain project?
* You use your computer in busines and for private, and want to know how
much time you use it each?
* You want to poll at your mailbox once a day?
* You want to update your 'find' database once a day (exactely once a day
and not every time your computer is booting), but your computer doesn't
work the whole day?
* You want to back up your work every half an hour, but only when you
really work on this project?
* You want to be reminded to go to bed when you are programing?
* You want to use your computer as a alarm clock?
* You come from London and want that your computer strikes like Big Ben?
* You love graphical user interfaces with MUI?
* You want to know how often your computer had a reset?
* You like localized programs?
* You want the documentation in '.guide', '.asc' or '.dvi'-Format?
* You want an online help function for the gui?
Then you need TimeGuardian!
Short introduction:
===================
This is a short introduction for those, who don`t want to read the
documentation before the installation. Only certain important facts are
menshioned. The complete documentation is in the directory 'english'.
Assumptions:
------------
* OS version >= 2.0
* MUI >= 2.0
* Installer, for the installation (has to be in the search path, e.g.'C:')
* Amiga Guide, that means amigaguide.library (for the online help)
When the assumptions are fulfilled, you can immediately start the
installation by doubleclicking on the icon 'TGinstall.english'. The program
package will be installed. Whilst the installation you are asked, whether
you want to start the preferences program. When you start it, and want to
get more information about the gadgets, move the mouse pointer over an area
of the graphical user interface an press the 'Help' key on your keyboard.
When you don`t know, what to answer when the installation asks, then read
the entire documenttion.
