1. Installation
******************************************************************************
Running needs an Atari Falcon 030 with 4 MB RAM, hard disc and a colour
display device (RGB-/VGA-monitor, television, not a SM 124 or other).
For installing create a new folder and unzip RUNSHAR1.ZIP and
RUNSHAR2.ZIP into the new folder. You need about 7,0 MB of free space
on Your hard disk.
RUNNING will create some temporary files in the folder "C:\RUNSHARE\TEMP".
Temporary files are about 1 MB, created for faster program start next time.
Per savegame slot You need additional 320 kB of harddisk space - otherwise
RUNNING will crash.
Doubleclick on RUNSHARE.PRG to start playing.

2. Introduction
******************************************************************************
Gameplay and Story:
The gameplay isn't very fresh. Such first person games like Duke Nukem 3D
or Doom are well known on the PC market. So why not have one on Falcon ?
The story of such games basically seems to be always the same. This time
our hero has a real problem. He has to solve several special agent jobs in
an atomic reactor company. He stays in contact with his command base via
laptop - getting news about secret rooms or the mission briefing at the
very start of each episode. To fulfill his jobs there are powerful weapons
and special agent equipment like night viewers or motion tracker spread over
the episode. And last but not least tons of bad guys walking around ...
(but also some civil ones !)
Engine:
The engine is capable of visualizing rooms like in other well known games.
There are lifts, moveable platforms, switches, even moving trains, secret
rooms and doors . And we think it is quite fast. Maybe it could be faster
and include floor/ceiling textures. But we are pleased with it as it is ...
or do You want to wait till eternity for the release ?
Graphics:
We are using the Falcon Truecolor Mode for all screen outputs. All textures
are rendered. The enemies have been digitized using a video camera. This
allows us to include very different characters. We spread 9 different ones
in our episodes (including some civilians too).
Sound:
During the game you can hear a lot of samples (e.g. shots, lifts, ...).
There is no additional music. But we included a special feature: our
hero talks ! There are a lot of situations where he is giving his special
comment through the speaker. The title menu consists of a new masterpiece
from Sirch Retork formerly known as Tyan/STAX. Well, we think, that's it
for the sound part.

5. Personal words
******************************************************************************
Please notice that the team and the whole production process aren't
professional. But we are trying to make the best out of it.
Some of us have taken part in the ATARI(TM) scene over a long time. We know
about software piracy and the neverending fight against it. Take this free
software product as a last present to a cool time within the scene and lots
of fun with the Tramiel Machines.
On the other hand we hope that YOU support us by buying the final version.
Getting rich can't be the main motivation for such a product (think of the
market situation in these times ...). Idealism and a strong vision are fitting
better here. We think that the game ist worth the moderate price and hope the
sales won't become too disappointing ...
Have fun and enjoy.
RDT Team 1997.
