  14.   This version is is just a bugfixed version 0.3 of Whip! There were
  15.   problems with the plasma.vlm module. The new vlm kernel solves the
  16.   problem. Furthermore I increased the maximum size of vlm memory
  17.   space to 1600000 bytes including text, data and bss segment.

  19. 1.OVERVIEW
  20.  
  21.   This program analysis music and creates visual effects out of the analysed
  22.   sound. You have to connect a CD player or another audio source to the 
  23.   microphone connector of your falcon to make use of this program.
  24.   Whip! features a modular structure that enables programmers to do own
  25.   effects. The module interface features the complete soundanalysis,
  26.   resolution-switching and parameter settings.

  28. 2.HOW TO USE IT
  29.  
  30.   The usage of the program is very simple. On the left side of the screen
  31.   are the sound controls. You can control the input volume the output volume
  32.   and you can switch the internal speaker on or off. The input volume is
  33.   very important to get good effects. It must not be too low or too high.
  34.   The oscilloscope will help you to get good values. 
  35.   The right side of the screen contains the visual effect controls. In the
  36.   bottom of the information box there is the list of the available effects.
  37.   Each list entry features three buttons. You can execute an effect by 
  38.   clicking on the button with the name of the effect. By clicking on the
  39.   infobutton of a list entry the right bottom box displays additional 
  40.   information and provides parameter settings for the corresponding effect.
  41.   The parameters are (like the whole program) just to play around with.
  42.   There is another box on the right side of the screen which contains the
  43.   feature to start a random slideshow of different effects. To start the
  44.   show you have to click on the random-button. Using the other buttons you
  45.   can set the time each effect is displayed. The random show uses only the
  46.   effects that are 'enabled' you can disable an effect by clicking on the
  47.   middle button of a effectlistentry. When an effect is running you can go
  48.   back the the menuscreen using any key or a mousebutton. Press [Esc] to 
  49.   leave the program or do not press [Esc] to not leave the program.

  53.   The program works on original 4Mb, 16Mhz Falcons with a rgb/tv/vga screen. 
  54.   I do not know how it works with accelerators.
