  2.  The Spectre Collection

  4.  This 44 Mb removable cartridge contains the entire Spectre collection as of
  5.  August, 1990 (Spectre disks #S01 through #S80).  In addition, it includes
  6.  ALL of the Magic Sac and Spectre columns published by Current Notes from
  7.  March of 1987 through June of 1990. The 80 disks are grouped by topic in named folders.  The general
  8.  contents of the cartridge are described below:

  132.                      CURRENT NOTES MAGIC/SPECTRE COLUMNS
  133.                            MARCH 1987 -- JUNE 1990

  135.       All of the Magic/Spectre columns printed in Current Notes from early
  136.   1987 through mid-1990 are included on this disk in three separate DOC
  137.   files.  Jeff Greenblatt authored this column from March, 1987 through
  138.   February 1989.  His column was entirled "Adventures in the Magic Sacdom."
  139.   The column title was changed twice in 1988.  "Magic Sac Update" appeared
  140.   in June and then, with the appearance of the Spectre, the column title
  141.   changed to "The ST/Mac Connection" in the October 1988 issue.  Although
  142.   the title changed, the contents were basically the same.  Jeff's articles
  143.   appear in two DOC files.  The 1987 articles are found in MAGIC87.DOC.  The
  144.   1988 articles and the last column, which appeared in February 1989, are
  145.   found in MAGIC88.DOC.

  147.       Doug Hodson started his Magic/Spectre Tips column in March of 1989.
  148.   His first 14 columns, from March of 1989 through June of 1990, are found
  149.   in the file TIPS8990.DOC.

  151.       In addition to the column files, two DOC files, MAGICLIB.DOC and
  152.   SPECTLIB.DOC, are available with a complete listing of the Magic and
  153.   Spectre libraries.  In both of these files, disks are first listed in
  154.   numerical order and then grouped by category.
  155.  
  156.       All of these DOC files are plain text files that can be listed to the
  157.   screen or sent to your printer.  They are designed to be read with the
  158.   READER.PRG program provided.  This program provides, not only an easy way
  159.   to read text, but a number of extremely useful features.  For example,
  160.   press the 'C' key to get a table of contents of your file.  You can then
  161.   click on anything in the table of contents and go directly to that page.
  162.   While you are reading text, the space bar moves you to the next page and
  163.   the Return key moves you back one page. Press the 'F' key to use the FIND
  164.   option.  You can search for any string you want.  For example, to find an
  165.   article (or a disk) that mentions BillBoard, just enter "Billboard" and
  166.   the probram will take you to the first occurrence of that word.  Press R
  167.   to Repeat the search.  Instructions for using the READER.PRG are included
  168.   on the disk.  The specific contents of each DOC file are listed below.
