  2.                             RUMORS - OBSERVATIONS

  4.     A new TT is in the works, will have a 68040 MPU and more resolutions/
  5.     colors. This new machine is being built in a Tower Configuration for 
  6.     the UNIX (more VME SLOTS) as well as the professional DTP market.
  7.   
  8.     The current TT will stay as is, may have an easier RAM upgrade path 
  9.     in future.
  10.   
  11.     The Mega STE will have a 68020 at probably 16 Mhz, whether it's still 
  12.     called a STE is another matter.
  13.   
  14.     68000 machines will be found in the GAME machines that Atari is still 
  15.     to release. They have narrowed their development to one machine they 
  16.     had two on-going research projects and have now closed one and are 
  17.     concentrating on the final choice.

  19.     A new ROM set/kit is available for older ST's that allows them to run 
  20.     the TT desktop. The board plugs into the current ROM plugs and has 
  21.     two wires that connect to the MMU.

  23.     FSM GDOS is now done and shipping. Wordflair now includes it with 
  24.     their program. Rumor has it that later TT roms will include the GDOS 
  25.     Driver in ROM, currently it's a CPX (new control panel extension). 
  26.     There are 150 font faces available at this time.

  28.     Demo dealer packs (5 disk set) will be sent to developers later this 
  29.     year, some dealers were receiving them at COMDEX.
