Greetings, Tufty here.
Welcome to the Digi-Muisc-Demos Vol.1
This is the final incarnation of these
pieces of music. If you did not know,
they were released in a slightly
diffent form a few months ago but I
was not happy with the result and so
I stepped aside to revamp them.
The main reason for this new disk is
that I have just had an STe and to my
horror my favourite music package
(quartet) refused to play the pieces
with as good quality as the STFM,
flippin 'eck I thought !
I have just spent around a year on
and off getting the pieces ready &
they dont work properly on the STe.
I phoned up Rob Povey(creator of
quartet) and he said he had known
about the problem with the STe but
wasn't going to do anything about it.
Anyway luckily I got hold of the
new source code for quartet playback
with an STe option for stereo.
So here is the result.
Once you have loaded one of the songs
press:-
1..STe
2..STFM(YM etc.)
3..PLAYBACK cartridge
4..REPLAY cartridge
I find the best option to be REPLAY
even on an STe as this gives you
the best bass and clarity.
If you choose option 2 on an STe
you will see the problem I
mentioned earlier(the bug is still
there in the new code).
Anyway I hope you enjoy the music
as it has given me great pleasure
writing it.
By the way a bug I have discovered
is that sometimes when you press 1
for STe nothing happens,if this
happens then just press SPACE to
get out and load up the demo and
try again it will work OK then.
This bug also happens in the
commercial version of quartet 1.5
