  7. AmigaTrek    A continuation of Mike's Amiga Trek stories, which are
  8.         parodies of the Star Trek series, with an Amiga flavor.
  9.         Earlier stories are on disk 278.

  12. AmiOmega    Amiga port of the Omega game.  Omega is similar to hack
  13.         or rogue, but is much more complex.  There is a city,
  14.         several towns, a wilderness, lots of dungeons, a multitude
  15.         of monsters, lots of spells, magic items, etc.  There are
  16.         several quests to complete.  All in all, it is an excellent
  17.         game.  Requires 1Mb or more of memory.  Amiga version 1.0,
  18.         binary only.

  27. DezHexBin    An intuition based programmers tool to convert integers
  28.         between decimal, hexadecimal, and binary.  Very small.
  29.         Version 1.1, includes source in assembly code.

  32. IconJ        IconJ significantly enhances the IconX program, and is
  33.         100% compatible.  It allows scripts to be executed by
  34.         double-clicking the script's icon.  Abilities include
  35.         joining the script with the icon file itself, or calling
  36.         it from any directory or disk, executing either AmigaDOS
  37.         or ARexx scripts, outputing to any file or device, running
  38.         interactive scripts and scripts that contain conditionals,
  39.         and creating relative console windows.  Includes a utility
  40.         called AtatJ which attaches or detaches a script to/from
  41.         an icon file.  Version 1.0, includes source in JForth.

  44. Ifs        An Iterated Function System viewer which graphically
  45.         displays iterated function systems and allows the user
  46.         to interactively create the affine functions that define
  47.         such systems.  An IFS can represent complex pictures very
  48.         compactly.  Simple IFSs can describe an infinite number of
  49.         different and interesting fractal displays.  Includes a
  50.         number of displays that the author and others have
  51.         discovered.  Version 1.5, includes source in C.

  54. Planets        Some routines ported to the Amiga by Bob Leivian, that
  55.         compute the location of the planets (as viewed from a
  56.         specific point on the earth) and the phase of the moon,
  57.         for an arbitrary date and time.  Includes source.

  61. Turtle        A shared library of "turtle" functions for drawing in a
  62.         RastPort.  Includes source in assembly and C.

  65. UnixDirs    A program which intercepts calls to dos.library to add
  66.         the UNIX style '.' and '..' syntax for current and parent
  67.         directories, respectively, to file and path names.  I.E.,
  68.         you can refer to files in the current directory as './foo'
  69.         and files in the parent directory as '../foo', or any
  70.         combination of the two.  Includes source in assembly.

  73. Whereis        Another "find-that-file" utility.  Whereis searches on your
  74.         (hard-)disk for a file(name) and displays the path to that
  75.         file.  Some features are case independent search, wildcards,
  76.         interactive mode (cd implemented), can display size and date
  77.         of files, always abortable, can archive filenames for "ZOO"
  78.         (like fnams/recurdir), and no recursive procedures. Includes

  88. Gwin        This is version 1.0 of GWIN.  GWIN or Graphics WINdow is
  89.         an integrated collection of graphics routines callable
  90.         from C.  These routines make it easy to create sophisticated
  91.         graphics programs in the C environment.  One-line calls give
  92.         you a custom screen (ten types available), menu items,
  93.         requestors, text, circles, polygons, etc.  GWIN is a
  94.         two-dimensional floating point graphics system with
  95.         conversion between world and screen coordinates.  GWIN
  96.         includes built-in clipping that may be turned off for
  97.         speed.  Use of color and XOR operations are greatly
  98.         simplified.  Many examples of the use of GWIN are
  99.         included in an examples directory.  Examples include
  100.         line/bar graph program, geographic mapping program,
  101.         SPICE 2G.6 graphics post-processor, and others.  Extensive
  102.         documentation is included.

  142. ANSIEd        Demo version of an ANSI screen file editor.  It allows
  143.         you to easily create and modify a screen of ANSI-style
  144.         text/graphics on the Amiga.  The standard ANSI color set
  145.         (red, green, yellow, blue, magenta, cyan, white) and text
  146.         styles (plain, boldface, underlined, italic) are provided,
  147.         along with some simple editing and drawing functions.
  148.         This demo version has the save features disabled. This is
  149.         version 1.3.0, an update to version 1.2.0aD on disk 221.

  153. DiskFree    An small iconifiable intuition program that shows the
  154.         amount of free space available on all mounted disk
  155.         devices, both numerically and graphically.  Version 1.0,

  159. DPFFT        An enhanced version of DPlot from disk 290.  DPlot is
  160.         a simple display program for experimental data, with the
  161.         goals of supporting paging through lots of data and 
  162.         providing comfortable scaling and presentation.  The
  163.         enhancements for DPFFT include addition of a Fast Fourier
  164.         Transform (FFT), display of a customized amplitude and
  165.         phase spectrum, a prewhitening capability, and a Welch
  166.         window for spectral smoothing.  This is version 2.1,
  167.         binary only.

  170. Mailchk        A mail client for Dnet, which will inform you of any new
  171.         mail and will give the choice of viewing, deleting, or
  172.         printing a message.  Version 2.01, includes source.

  181. Batchman    A program that allows the user to execute CLI programs
  182.         and batch files simply by clicking on a gadget.  It can
  183.         be used as the center of a turnkey system, where the
  184.         user simply clicks on gadgets to launch applications.

  188. DClock        A "Dumb Clock" utility that displays the date and time
  189.         in the Workbench screen title bar.  Uses only about 2
  190.         percent of the CPU time and about 10Kb of memory.  Also
  191.         has an alarm clock feature and audible beep for programs
  192.         that call DisplayBeep.  This is version 1.12, an update
  193.         to version 1.5 on disk 298, with many enhancements and a
  194.         few bug fixes.  Includes source.

  197. DoRevision    This program implements easy creation of source code
  198.         revision headers (very similar to the log headers to
  199.         be found at the top of the Amiga 'C' include files).

  203. FAM        A File Access Manager for the Amiga that allows multiple
  204.         ARexx programs to access a buffered version of a directory
  205.         in a consistent and serialized manner.  It buffers all the
  206.         names, dates, sizes and so on, for quick access.  This is
  207.         version 1.1 and includes source.

  210. FarPrint    Debugging functions for programs which don't have any
  211.         links to their environment.  FarPrint consists of two
  212.         major parts; a harbour process open to receive and
  213.         distribute messages and requests, and a set of C functions
  214.         to be linked into any program wishing to communicate with
  215.         the FarPrint main process.  This is version 1.5, an update
  216.         to version 1.3 on disk 281, and adds a shared library as
  217.         well as linker libraries for both Lattice and Aztec C.

  221. KeyMacro    A keyboard macro program, configurable via a text file,
  222.         that also supports hotkey program execution.  You can map
  223.         up to eight functions to each key, including keys such as
  224.         cursor keys, the return key, etc.  Version 1.0, includes

  228. LifeCycles    Some sort of biorhythm type program.  No docs included.
  229.         Version 2.0, binary only.

  232. MemGuard    MemGuard is a MemWatch-like program which has been
  233.         rewritten in assembly language for maximum speed and
  234.         efficiency. Unlike MemWatch MemGuard does not run as
  235.         Task in a dummy loop but rather as a low-level interrupt
  236.         routine which is capable of trapping memory thrashing even
  237.         before exec might know of it and even while task switching
  238.         is forbidden. In fact the low-memory area is checked each
  239.         frame. Virtually no processing time is wasted, the
  240.         interrupt routine does the check in about half a raster
  241.         scan line's time.  This program was contributed by Ralf
  242.         Thanner, who spent three weeks programming & debugging it.
  243.         In this program Ralf uses some very delicate tricks to
  244.         let his interrupt routine work with Intuition alerts.

  248. RexxHostLib    This is a shared library package to simplify the ARexx
  249.         host creation/management procedure.  Rexx-message parsing
  250.         is also included making it possible to control ARexx from
  251.         programs such as AmigaBASIC (can you imagine AmigaBASIC
  252.         controlling AmigaTeX?).  Includes source.

  261. CBDump        This is a CLI utility for those who are working with the
  262.         Amiga's clipboard device.  It's sole purpose in life is
  263.         to dump the current contents of the clipboard to stdout
  264.         or by redirection to a pipe or a file.  Useful for
  265.         testing and interfacing with programs that do not support
  266.         the clipboard.  Source included.
  267.         Author:  Stephen Vermeulen.
  268.  
  269. DispMod        One of the series of ROBBS (Rexx Object Building Block
  270.         System) modules by Larry Phillips.  DispMod is a display
  271.         module that only understands ARexx messages.  It allows,
  272.         under program control, the display of text and the
  273.         acceptance of keyboard data.  Version 0.11, includes
  274.         source.

  276.  
  277. Itb        This program converts an icon to an IFF picture (brush)
  278.         file.  It handles both single and alternate image (animated)
  279.         icons.  This is version 1.10 which adds a colour palette to
  280.         the previous version from disk 85.  Version 1.10, binary
  281.         only.

  284. MicroTerm    A very small, very simple, almost brain-dead terminal
  285.         program.  Primarily useful as an example of how to talk to
  286.         the console and serial devices.  Version 0.1, includes

  290. NeuronalNets    Some programs for playing with Neuronal Nets using
  291.         Hopfield and Hamming algorithms.  Binary only.

  294. PopScreen    A small hack to pop a hidden screen to the front from the
  295.         CLI.  This was written to allow the author to use VLTjr
  296.         with other programs that also use custom screens.  Source
  297.         included.

  300. Snap        A tool for clipping text or graphics from the screen,
  301.         using the clipboard device.  Snap finds out character
  302.         coordinates automatically, handles different fonts, keymaps,
  303.         accented characters, and more.  Version 1.4, an update
  304.         to version 1.3 on disk 274.  Includes source.

  307. VSnap        This is an enhanced version of Snap 1.3, submitted by
  308.         Steve Vermeulen, which adds the ability to save clipped
  309.         graphics as IFF FORM ILBM's to the clipboard, so they can

  311.         clipboard.  I have dubbed it VSnap, since the official
  312.         1.4 Snap is also included on this disk.  Includes source.

  329. MM        An implementation of the game Mastermind.  In this game
  330.         you must try to guess a color combination which the amiga
  331.         sets via a random generator.  There are 6 colors which can
  332.         be set in any combination.  Includes source.

  335. MRBackUp    A hard disk backup utility that does a file by file copy
  336.         to standard AmigaDOS floppy disks.  Includes an intuition
  337.         interface and file compression.  This is version 3.4, an

  341. Msh        An Amiga file system handler that handles MSDOS formatted
  342.         diskettes.  You can use files on such disks in almost
  343.         exactly the same way as you use files on native AmigaDOS
  344.         disks.  This is a fully functional, read/write version,
  345.         that supports 8, 9, or 10 sector disks of 80 tracks, and
  346.         should also work on 40 track drives and hard disks with
  347.         12 or 16 bit FAT of any dimension the FAT allows.

  376.         V1.01 is a fast, small, simple efficient DirUtility.
  377.         FSDirs V1.3 is a floppy accelerator program.  VMK V27
  378.         is a small virus detector/killer that knows about 27
  379.         different viruses and can detect new ones.  NoInfo V1.0
  380.         stops programs from producing ".info" files.  Binaries

  384. RoadRoute    A trip planner that takes a list of cities and a list
  385.         of known routes between cities, and generates the distance
  386.         and time required to reach your destination.  This is an

  389.         Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Louisiana,
  390.         Arkansas, Missouri, Colorado and Mississippi, added by

  401.         check for CPU type.  This version can detect 68000,
  402.         68010, 68020, and 68881 processors.  Includes source.

  405. DiskSpeed    A disk speed testing program specifically designed to
  406.         give the most accurate results of the true disk perform-
  407.         ance of the disk under test.  Automatically updates and
  408.         maintains an ASCII database of disk results for tested
  409.         disks.  This is version 3.1, an update to version 2.0 on
  410.         disk 288, with some source code cleanups and stress tests
  411.         for CPU and DMA.  Includes source in C.

  414. Empire        This is a complete rewrite, from the ground up, in
  415.         Draco, of Peter Langston's Empire game.  Empire is
  416.         a multiplayer game of exploration, economics, war,
  417.         etc, which can last a couple of months.  Can be
  418.         played either on the local keyboard or remotely
  419.         through a modem.  This is version 1.33w, an update
  420.         to version 1.0 on disk 118, and includes many changes
  421.         and enhancements.  Binary only.

  424. FileSystems    Displays AmigaDOS disk devices with information about
  425.         the head geometry, BufMemType, and the lower level
  426.         exec device.  Includes source.

  429. OnePlane    Removes the highest number bitplane from the WorkBench
  430.         screen.  Normally used to take Workbench screen from
  431.         2 bitplanes to 1 bitplane.  This allows CON: style
  432.         devices to scroll text faster.  Includes source.
