  1. Rand v1.00 - Selects backdrops, blankers,
  2. pointers, patterns, etc. Other uses too.
  3. Rand executes a command that contains text
  4. randomly chosen from a file. This text may be
  5. a file name, a program name, an argument
  6. list, a sentence, or whatever. Rand is useful
  7. for selecting random backdrops, blankers,
  8. patterns, pointers, and other things during
  9. boot up.  It can also be put to other uses,
  10. such as selecting taglines.
