  5. Since 1993 InterActive has offered a convenient way to register 
  6. non-commercial software. The scheme was launched by Joe Connor to 
  7. encourage 'foreign' authors to produce and support English language 
  8. versions of their software AND to encourage UK users to register their 
  9. software.
  10. Currently InterActive attracts registrations from all over the world and 
  11. currently supports over 50 non-commercial titles from dozens of different 
  12. authors with thousands of registered users.

  14. The authors and translators deserve your support so if you're regularly 
  15. using any unregistered software please register today.

  17. What's new?
  18. -----------
  19. Running InterActive takes time - lots of it. The time taken composing 
  20. registration letters and manually duplicating disks to send out in the 
  21. post could be spent working with the TransAction crew to translate and 
  22. bring you more software to choose from.
  23.  
  24. Many InterActive customers are online and all the InterActive software is 
  25. available on-line so we've decided now is the time to encourage email only 
  26. registrations by offering reduced registration prices across the board for 
  27. email only registrations. If you'd like a registration letter and master 
  28. disk it's no problem - you simply pay a pound per registration taking the 
  29. fee back up to its original price.

  94. How to register
  95. ---------------
  96. 1)  Use the included ORDER_FM.TXT to select the required software
  97. 2)  Make sure your name and address is included and *legible*!
  98. 3)  If you require registration letters and master disks please add £1 per 
  99.     registration.
  100. 4)  Add postage as follows:
  101.     - UK destinations FREE
  102.     - EU destinations add £1 to order total
  103.     - Other destinations add £1.50 to order total
  104. 5) Make cheques/POs payable to InterActive for the total amount
  105. 6) Send the completed order form and payment to InterActive
  106.  
  107. Country specific information
  108. ----------------------------
  109. Europe:    Post Office GiroBank money orders or Eurocheques are the best 
  110.            way to pay.
  111. France:    For some reason I'm getting a number of local cheques (i.e. 
  112.            written in Sterling but drawn on a French bank address.
  113.            I cannot accept these because my bank charges an expensive fee 
  114.            for these (more than the cheque is usually worth!) - please use 
  115.            the Post Office GiroBank system.           
  116. Canada:    The Canadian Post Office can issue money orders in *Sterling*.
  117.            These are hassle free and inexpensive!
  118. Australia: Australia Post only sell overseas money orders in US dollars so 
  119.            please get an International Bank Draft made out in Sterling 
  120.            drawn on a UK bank address.
  121. NZ:        Please visit your Post Office and get a money order made out in 
  122.            *Sterling*.
  123. USA:       I can't accept local cheques.
  124.            If a day trip to a Canadian post office is out of the question 
  125.            :-) an International Money Order made out in Sterling (please 
  126.            add extra £5 to order total) drawn on a UK banking address is 
  127.            the safest but most expensive solution.
  128.            Amex/VISA/Thomas Cook travellers cheques made out to Joe Connor 
  129.            in Sterling (please add extra £5 to order total) are also 
  130.            acceptable.
  131.            For smaller orders, AT YOUR OWN RISK, dollars cash in a "US 
  132.            Postal Service Global Priority mail flat rate envelope", is the 
  133.            cheapest option - these envelopes cost less than $4.
  134.            Please contact me first to ask for a price in dollars.

  144. --------------
  145. All software is available for download via the InterActive web pages.
  146. Alternatively to receive an update by post send a self addressed envelope 
  147. including return postage (or IRC) and an unlabelled double sided floppy 
  148. disk. Please state clearly:

  150. 1) The software you'd like updated
  151. 2) The version you're currently using
  152. 3) Upgrade fee, where applicable
  153.    
  154. Response times
  155. --------------
  156. Email response time is usually same day with keys mailed out on receipt of 
  157. funds. All incoming email is read and bugs are reported back to the 
  158. authors. If you don't get an immediate reply to requests for help it's 
  159. likely we haven't got anything helpful to say at that time.

  161. Due to the number of people whi support InterActive along with my other 
  162. commitments postal registrations take longer than I'd like - although 
  163. usually within 28 days. Please be patient!
