Joe Upgrade 1.40 to 1.41 details :
- VDI optimisation and bug fixes. It works now on graphic cards without NVDI.
SpeedoGDOS was not tried (I don't have it) but it works with old FONTGDOS and
AMCGDOS under TOS environment.
Note that you should have NVDI for screen acceleration and better font handling.
(All proportional bitmap fonts are correctly displayed and proportional
vector fonts are displayed faster; extended vqt_name use, maybye SpeedoGDOS
have this function).
- Code optimisation (with the counsels of Emmanuel BARANGER): scrolling with
the window arrows is faster, for example.
- AES string environment for OLGA and BubbleGEM supported.
in MAGX.INF, use :
#_ENV OLGAMANAGER=path+OLGA.APP
#_ENV BUBBLEGEM=path+BUBBLE.APP
in MINT.CNF, use the same but replace #_ENV by "setenv"
OLGA management is nicer with AES string environment (it leaves when no
program needs it any more). But with BubbleGEM, you won't have the Deamon support.
Note that Joe launches correctly OLGA and BubbleGEM evenif it doesn't show it in
its Information win-dial.
- FONT_CHANGED support (FONTNAME message)
- No more fonts' number limitation
- Pdomain() use: I couldn't try, but you can have a longfilename fileselector
under MiNT.
- Text cursor is less sensible with mouse (was a problem with fast Atari
machines)
- for the modules: the filename is correctly displayed evenif the drive is not
the same as the one of the current HTML file
- for the IMG module: the alternate text string is HTML-accent converted
- 2 bug fixes in the HEAD module:
*for the next HTML filename
*for the MagiC fileselector title
- added an English ASCII manual (do not traduce it)
- VA_START and Drag 'n' Drop alert doesn't appear any more when the text was
saved and/or not modified.
- The special caracters pop-up appears now with double right click.
Thanks
to Didier Briel, Martin "Nightowl" Byttebier for beta-testing
and also to Basar Alabay and Mr n' Mrs Freeman for the bugreports.
and Emmanuel Baranger and Arnaud BERCEGEAY for the counsels.
