  4. About the scheme
  5. ----------------

  7. Since 1993 InterActive has offered a convenient way to register 
  8. non-commercial software. The scheme was launched by Joe Connor to 
  9. encourage 'foreign' authors to produce and support English language 
  10. versions of their software AND to encourage UK users to register 
  11. 'foreign' software.
  12. InterActive continues to expand and currently supports over 50 
  13. non-commercial titles and 25 different authors and over 2000 registered 
  14. users. The authors deserve your support and feedback so if you're 
  15. regularly using any unregistered software please register today - you 
  16. nearly always get something extra in return:

  22. - Labelled Master disk and registration letter

  24. Registration fees are set to cover the currency handling, stationary, 
  25. media and postage costs incurred in mailing out master disks and 
  26. providing support.
  27. Although primarily a UK support scheme everyone is welcome to register 
  28. via InterActive as an alternative to registering directly with the 
  29. author/s.

  83. How to register from inside the UK
  84. ----------------------------------
  85. 1) Use the included ORDER_FM.TXT to select the required software
  86. 2) Make sure your name and address is included and *legible*!
  87. 3) Make cheques/POs payable to InterActive for the total amount
  88. 4) Send the completed order form and payment to InterActive
  89.  
  90. Additionally from outside the UK
  91. --------------------------------
  92. - Add £1 to your order total to cover postage
  93. - Make certain payment is *in Sterling* drawn on a *UK* bank address
  94.   The following methods are known to work:
  95.   -Bank draft/cheque
  96.   -Eurocheque
  97.   -International Post Office cheque payable *in Sterling*
  98.   -Cash! Sterling, Dollars and DMs are fine -but at your own risk!

  100. Country specific information
  101. ----------------------------
  102. Canada:    The Canadian Post Office can issue money orders in *Sterling*.
  103.            These are hassle free and inexpensive!
  104. Australia: Australia Post only sell overseas money orders in US dollars 
  105.            so please get a bank draft made out in Sterling drawn on a 
  106.            UK bank address.
  107. NZ:        Please visit your Post Office and get a money order made out in 
  108.            *Sterling*.
  109. France:    For some reason I'm getting a number of local cheques (i.e. 
  110.            written in Sterling but drawn on a french bank address.
  111.            I can accept these but they cost £5 to negoiate so you must add 
  112.            an extra £5 to your order total.
  113. Europe:    In general Post Office money orders or Eurocheques are the best 
  114.            way to pay.
  115. USA:       What a nightmare! Can I suggest a day trip to a Canadian post 
  116.            office? I've seen everything from Amex travellers cheques (add 
  117.            £5 to order total), local cheques (no can do), cash (fine -but 
  118.            at your own risk).
  119.            An International money order (add £5 to order total) made 
  120.            out in Sterling drawn on a UK banking address is currently 
  121.            the best solution, sorry! :-(

  136. postage (or IRC) and an unlabelled double sided floppy disk. Please

  144. Due to the number of people taking advantage of the registration 
  145. service and my other commitments as editor of Atari Computing I can't 
  146. always reply as quickly as I'd like to. Often I'm waiting for a new 
  147. version or simply too busy earning a living so please be patient!

  171. archives but because minor updates to the English language version are 
  172. sometimes made without changing the version number CIX, 42BBS and the

  174. latest versions!
