  3. EISPACK is a collection of double-precision Fortran subroutines that
  4. compute the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of nine classes of matrices:
  5. complex general, complex Hermitian, real general, real symmetric, real
  6. symmetric banded, real symmetric tridiagonal, special real
  7. tridiagonal, generalized real, and generalized real symmetric matices.
  8. In addition, two routines are included that use singular value
  9. decomposition to solve certain least-squares problems.  The
  10. single-precsion versions are in SEISPACK.
