  25. % (2) The caron and dotlessi characters are in the positions used by
  26. % Y&Y for their modified ATM encoding.

  28. % (3) Remaining characters are assigned arbitrarily to the first few

  31. % (4) (Y&Y) Lucida Bright includes some extra text characters; in the
  32. % hopes that other PostScript fonts, perhaps created for public
  33. % consumption, will include them, they are included starting at 0x10.

  35. % (5) Remaining positions left undefined are for use in (hopefully)
  36. % upward-compatible revisions, if someday more characters are generally
  37. % available in the Type 1 fonts.

  39. % Ligatures are omitted, since this encoding is intended for use at the
  40. % driver end. Including ligatures and kerns would make the TFM files
  41. % much larger, to no particular purpose. If someone actually wants to
