THE PROGRAM Page 1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two Bit Poker is my implementation of the VIDEO POKER machines
you find in the local bars and corner stores. A strange way to
play poker as you play by yourself or take turns with a friend
or two. Your opponent is the ODDS. The computer plays only the
part of shuffling, dealing and keeping track of money affairs.
My implementation has the three major machines in one. The old
Canadian version, The American RENO version and the DELUXE one
with JOKERS included. Jokers are wild of course. Two Bit Poker
has been developed with three things in mind. Easy to learn,
fun to play and good graphics. Mouse control is now added too!
I also have developed Two Bit Poker as a one file program. Its
faster loading with this format. The only external program is
its SAVE file. This is built automatically and can be deleted
anytime to reset the counters.
Have fun! Any questions or suggestions, drop me a note!

or SPACE BAR again will unselect that card. When you are finished move
back to DEAL to deal the discards. MOUSE users just point to the card

TAKE If there is a winner in the hand it will be indicated in the top right
box having the hand type blinking. Selecting TAKE will add this amount
to your pot.
DOUBLE This is the 2nd game in TwoBit Poker. This option gives you a chance
to double your winnings. When you select this option you will be delt
a card. You will have to guess if this card is HI or LOW. HI cards are
8 to KING, LOW cards are ACE to 6 and 7 is an automatic loss.
HI Use this option if you want to guess HI card.
LOW Use this option if you want to guess LOW card.
After your guess the card is turned over. If you WIN you may DOUBLE
again and again and again, TAKING whenever you wish. But, if you pick
one wrong guess all your DOUBLES are lost and you start all over! That
is the difference between WINNING or LOOSING..

This software is being distributed under the SHAREWARE concept. Under
this concept the author of shareware retains all rights to the program
within the copyright laws. You are free to keep, copy and distribute
this software with little restrictions. You are allowed to use this
software for a trial period to see if you like it and to test if its
compatable with your computer system. Any use after this requires that
you register your use to the author. As in the case with this game, if
you play, please pay! Registering your use with the author has a few
advantages. You recieve acknowledgment of payment, two disk labels are
included, ensure you get update notices, bug notices and fixes. Also,
you recieve Cypher Codes to self register your copy with your name and
serial number. This deletes the 'PLEASE REGISTER' messages that pop up
at the programs start too! Lastly, registering keep authors from using
commercial software retailers where the price of software rises well
above that of shareware.
