LUNAR COMMAND - Lunar/Moon Colony Simulator
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Each icon on the left hand bar has several options. Press space
while on each icon to bring up the selections.
The object is to build a self-sufficient lunar colony within 100 years
This is done by building factories and mining developments, then selling the
goods produced. Living conditions, population, and stock figures all must be
monitored to keep the miners happy and producing.
SOME FUNCTIONS AND FACTORS:
Exploration - Locates Oxygen, Helium and Water for mining, also
locates points of interest and archeology finds.
Astronomy - Warns of solor flairs and meteor showers.
Laboratory - Needed for new discoveries such has Fusion
Electricity - Needed to supply electric power from solar, fussion or fission.
Red light indicates power connection OK.
Radiators - Needed for cooling. Run pipes from radiators to connectors.
Green light on connector indicates pipe connection OK.
Communications - Once in place and power/piping is supplied allows for
information/bulletins from earth to be recieved.
--- HINTS ---
Explore the lunar surface. Look for good places to mine and produce.
If a crater is blocking construction try putting pipe or poper lines
over it them bulldoze the area clean. Voula! no more crater.
Start with solar power cells to supply power to the coloney.
If you have plenty of money try using fission power plants for
a greater power supply. When scientists on earth perfect fusion
power, destroy all fission plants and convert them to fusion.
They take up less space and eliminate the chance of a meltdown.
Radiator and Power Supplies must be connected to all modules or they
will not function. Modules connected to supplied modules will function.
Watch the budget box and adjust restocking percentage has needed.
Supply enough restock to get by without depleting your cash reserve.
Supply 100% and you may run sort of funds quickly. Supply 50% or less
and your factories will not produce as much.
Landing pads help reduce the number of Lunar Lander crashes.
Every Lunar Lander crash will cost you $10,000 for a replacement.
I suggest building living quarters first and mining/factories after
you can supply workers from the population.
