  24. INTRODUCTION:

  26. Maze Master is a classic maze solving game, with a computer twist.  The
  27. computer can solve the tough mazes, too!  You are the mouse, peeking 
  28. over the maze to study it, getting down on all four legs to run through 
  29. it some, then peeking again!
  30.   
  31. Start with the easy mazes, then move all the way to the very tough 
  32. Monster mazes!  Then raise the walls so you can't peek!
  33.  
  34. You get points for solving the maze, and bonus points if you solve it 
  35. quickly. Score enough and you can make the list of the top 5 all-time 
  36. players!

  38. This program is SHAREWARE, and is not FREE!  It is a copyrighted 
  39. program.  After a couple of weeks of usage, you are obliged to register 
  40. the program or remove it from your computer(s).  You are encouraged to 
  41. pass it along to a friend, but you must include this file and the 
  42. registration form as well.  Registration entitles you to certain support
  43. and update privaleges detailed in the Help for the program.  So please
  44. register the program so I can continue to develop others!

  58. INSTALLATION:
  59.  
  60. Put the WinMaze.* files in your favorite Windows games directory.  
  61. Follow your Windows instructions for creating an icon for the 
  62. WinMaze.exe in a program group of your choice.
  63.  
  64. Move the BWCC.dll file to your Windows\System directory.  If one is 
  65. already there, keep the newest one!  The included copy of BWCC.dll 
  66. supports both Windows 3.0 and 3.1.

  70. UN-INSTALLATION:
  71.  
  72. While I hope it will never happen, I do believe you should be able to
  73. un-install a program.  Maze Master does not modify Config.Sys, 
  74. AutoExec.Bat, Win.Ini, nor System.Ini.  It does not create a new 
  75. Program Group for itself.
  76.  
  77. Besides the files listed above, it will create a private Ini file, 
  78. WinMaze.Ini, in the \Windows directory.
  79.  
  80. To un-install, simply erase this file and any files named WinMaze.*
  81. on your disk.  I suggest keeping the latest copy of BWCC.dll, but 
  82. you could delete it and later download it from CompuServe's BCPPWIN 
  83. forum if you needed it.

  87. QUICK START (if you are impatient like me):
  88.  
  89. In Maze Master, you are the mouse!  You must trace your way from through
  90. the maze, starting at the left and leaving the maze on the right.
  91.  
  92. The mouse shape helps you.  Normally, the mouse is standing to scan the 
  93. maze.  But when you press the left mouse button, your mouse gets down 
  94. on all fours at the beginning of the maze.
  95.  
  96. You can rest at any time by releasing the mouse button.  Your mouse 
  97. peeks up study the maze.  Pressing down on the left mouse button again 
  98. moves you back to all fours at the point you left off.
  99.  
  100. The amount of the maze you can see varies with the size of the walls 
  101. of the maze.  With low walls, you can see the whole maze before you 
  102. start (but the walls are still too high to climb).  With high walls, 
  103. you can only see the walls in front, to the sides, and in back of you.  
  104. If you declare yourself a blind mouse, you can only feel the walls 
  105. around you.  And if you dare, make the walls glass!  With glass walls, 
  106. you can't see them, only bump your nose into them!

  108. If you get frustrated, let the computer solve the maze by selecting 
  109. the Solve option under the Maze menu.

  113. SYSTEMS SUPPORTED

  115. Maze Master has been tested under Windows 3.0 and Windows 3.1 with DOS 
  116. 4.0 and 5.0.  It has run on PS/2 Microchannel machine, Dell ISA 
  117. machine, and Zeos notebook.  It has run on LSD VGA screens, color VGA
  118. screens, and 8514 256-color screens.

  120. Maze Master requires a 286 or higher processor.

  133. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE

  135. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  136. before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  137. using it, you are expected to register. Individual programs
  138. differ on details -- some request registration while others
  139. require it, some specify a maximum trial period. With
  140. registration, you get anything from the simple right to continue

  174. Maze Master is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  175. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  176. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of
  177. another system.  The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  178. provide personal computer users with quality software without
  179. high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  180. continue to develop new products.  If you find this program
  181. useful and find that you are using Maze Master and continue to use
  182. Maze Master after a reasonable trial period, you must make a reg-
  183. istration payment of $15 to The Flatirons Group.  The $15
  184. registration fee will license one copy for use on any one
  185. computer at any one time.  You must treat this software just like
  186. a book.  An example is that this software may be used by any
  187. number of people and may be freely moved from one computer
  188. location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it
  189. being used at one location while it's being used at another.

  194. copies of Maze Master within 30 days of first use or their license
