  9. Here is a desk accessory that I hope will brighten your days
  10. around christmas! It will let it snow on the desktop, i.e.
  11. the area between windows. Set the desktop pattern to white
  12. with the Control Panel for the best effect.

  14. You can automatically start Snow at system startup by making
  15. the SnowOpen (also included in the Stuffit file) application 
  16. the startup application.

  18. Note: the snow will normally not appear inside windows. With
  19. Multifinder however this does happen ocassionally, in inactive
  20. windows. (Anyone knows where MultiFinder keeps its window lists?)
  21. Also at times you may have a dead snowflake or Santa sticking 
  22. to your desktop somewhere. It won't harm you though.

  24. Snow has a menu where you can set the number of snowflakes,
  25. and whether or not you want to see snow or Santa at all. 
  26. Another option is to let Snow run under the Finder ONLY, i.e.
  27. it won't snow while you're running an application.

  29. Snow does slow down a Macintosh Plus considerably, but on 
  30. Macintosh II it is hardly noticable. With ResEdit you can 
  31. slow down Snow, thus leaving you a faster Macintosh by setting
  32. the drvrDelay field of the DRVR. Authorized personnel only!
