This is public domain software. You are free to use,
modify and redistribute this application and its source
code.
%What
This program comes in two forms:
1. Macintosh Application - Lƒscher Color Test for
personality evaluation. Uses Neural Network to
provide:
A. User Mode for Self-Evaluation
B. Professional Mode, for Using in Performing
Evaluations
2. Source code for Lƒscher Color Test.
The Macintosh application shell has been developed using
THINK C 4.0 and is distributed with the application.
This is intended to serve the dual purpose of providing a
neural network application and allowing us to evaluate
efficient points for interconnecting neural networks to
conventional applications.

%How
The User Mode for self-evaluation is real easy╔ Open a
prognosis file. The one supplied on the diskette is named
"Test". Choose colors in the order that feels most
comfortable to you. This is the first test pass. Wait a
few minutes, then repeat for the second test pass. The
idea is not to try to duplicate what you chose in the first
pass, but rather what colors feel most comfortable at this
later time. The Analysis window will show the results of
the actual Lƒscher Color Test for your selections.
The neural net will then compare your test analysis with
its previously learned prognoses and determine the one
closest to yours. A percentage fit is shown in the second
column. Than should help you understand how close this
recalled prognosis is to yours. Also, a personality text
for the recalled prognosis is put into the Description
window.
To take the test again, chose the Reset item from the
Test menu and repeat the steps explained above.
%Because
To switch into Professional Mode, choose the User Mode
item on the Test menu. If it has a checkmark, then you're
in User Mode. Otherwise, you're in Professional Mode.
Generally you want to choose New from the Prognosis
menu to start. Then enter the color orders for this
prognosis, the program will pop up the Analysis window,
enter a name in the title block. Then type the prognosis
text into the editor in the Description window.
Sometimes, you may wish to use Recall from the Test
menu to how close a newly enter prognosis is to others
in the database before you save it and move on to the
next prognosis. You may wish to adjust the prognosis or
even override the analysis produced by the computer.
Just repeat the above steps to enter more prognoses. If
you switch to look at another prognosis, the prognosis
you currently have open will be saved. Anytime a
prognosis is modified, the entire net is relearned.
It's possible to hardwire a copy of Lƒscher permanently
into Professional Mode. Use ResEdit to add a LƒCH
resource with ID number 128. Whenever this copy
launches, it will automatically come up in Professional
Mode.
