INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (SHAREWARE/USERWARE PACKAGE):
=======================================================
If you have received EZ-Menu via downloading from a BBS or information service
follow these instructions to setup EZ-Menu:
1. Since you are reading this, you have already un-arc'd the package.
You will need to set-up a subdirectory for EZ-Menu. To do this
simply make a subdirectory called EZMENU and copy all of the
files in the package to the \EZMENU subdirectory.
NOTE: If you are currently using an earlier version of EZ-Menu after
3.0, and want to keep your old menu structure, MAKE SURE you do NOT
copy the sample menu files in this package on top of your existing
menu files (which are identified with an .MNU extension). If necessary
EZ-Menu will convert your old menu files to work with V3.6.
2. Change into the \EZMENU subdirectory by typing CD\EZMENU <enter>
3. Run the setup program by typing SETUP <enter>
The setup procedure will take care of configuring your system for EZ-Menu.
Please note that this procedure will be extremely careful about messing
up any settings you may have for other applications or hardware. During
the SETUP procedure, everything is described. When you are in EZ-Menu's
configuration screen, it is recommended that for this installation that
you simply press <SPACE> to save the configuration in its default setting
and continue. Later you can re-configure EZ-Menu from within the program
to change any desired options. If you are using a color monitor, you might
want to change option "Y" in configuration initially, but remember that
you can always re-configure the system from within EZ-Menu by pressing F9.
That's it! There will be options on the menu to print the documentation.
SPECIAL NOTE:
============
EZ-Menu 3.6 stores its configuration information in the program file
(EZMENU.EXE) itself. If you are running some anti-virus software it
may identify that EZ-Menu is attempting to modify the EZMENU.EXE file.
This is normal and should not be aborted.
ADDITIONAL ENHANCEMENTS:
=======================
EZ-Menu 5.0 contains numerous enhancements too lengthy to mention here.
Consult the included files: EZ5.DOC and FEATURES.DOC
MISCELLANEOUS PROMOTIONS SECTION:
================================

of computer experience you may have. Check it out at your local book
store.
Once again, thanks very much for your patronage. I sincerely hope you enjoy
the software, and please let me know if you have any comments or criticisms.
In any case, please write and let me know what you think...
