  2. This CD-ROM contains the Garbo MSDOS and MAC Archives from the University
  3. of Vaasa, Finland.  If you have access to the internet, you can access the
  4. Garbo Archives via anonymous ftp at garbo.uwasa.fi, 128.214.87.1.

  7. Here is a list of some important files and directories:

  9. readme.txt          this file
  10. pc              directory containing MSDOS software
  11. pc/win3               directory containing MicroSoft Windows software
  12. mac              directory containing Macintosh software
  13. pc/00_index.txt       index of MSDOS software, with a description of each file
  14. pc/win3/00_index.txt  index of Windows software, description of each file
  15. mac/00_index.txt      index of Mac software, with a description of each file
  16.  
  17. Most of the files on this disc are in zip, zoo, arc, or lzh format. There are
  18. programs for extracting from these formats located in pc/arcers, pc/arcutil
  19. and mac/arcers.

  21. Some files are in tar or shar format.  Programs for extracting tar and shar
  22. files are in pc/unix/tar4dos.zoo, pc/unix/unshar.zip, mac/unix/tar.sit and
  23. mac/unix/unshar.sit

  25. Although you may own this disk, you do not own the programs recorded on
  26. it.  Many of the programs on this disk are shareware.  You are free to
  27. try each program for a limited amount of time.  If you are satisfied,
  28. and want to continue to use the program, you are expected to register
  29. the program by sending a specified amount of money directly to the the
  30. author of the program.  In many cases the author will send you the most
  31. up to date version of the program and a printed manual.  Please check
  32. the individual files for specific information.

  35. care has been taken to remove any malfunctioning programs from the archive.
  36. Still, the files on this disc are offered AS IS, and we specifically
