You can use Y-wires to make multiple connections. Here, the Y-wires let you connect each light bulb to the battery directly. Electricity will flow from the battery to each bulb. This is called a parallel connection. The switch will turn both bulbs on and off. If one bulb burns out, the other will stay on because it has its own circuit with the battery.
