  2. ; A nodelist is a list of mail systems which can be called
  3. ; Nodelists are mostly used by nodes (systems) in fidonet
  4. ; (the biggest network in the world), but also other networks like
  5. ; SIGNET. Each network has it's own Zonenumbers. Zone 1-9 must only be
  6. ; used by fidonet. SIGNET has Zone 27. SexNet has Zone 69 etc.
  7. ; A nodenumber:   Zone:Host/Node   (Net=Host)
  8. ; One of my nodenumbers in fidonet is    2:231/111
  9. ; That means that I belong in Zone 2, Net 231 and is Node 111
  10. ;
  11. ; The list syntax:
  12. ; The Zone  entry  Zone,2      will have nodenumber 2:0/0
  13. ; The Host  entry  Host,231    will have nodenumber 2:231/0
  14. ; The Node  entry  ,111        will have nodenumber 2:231/111
  15. ; The Point entry  Point,9999  will have nodenumber 2:231/111.9999
  16. ; If you want to add a new node in a different Zone, look at the buttom.
  17. ; Zone 99:0/0, Host 99:999/0, Node 99:999/9999.
  18. ; All spaces in a (raw) nodelist must be replaced with underscores (_)
  19. ; Blank lines and lines starting with ';' will be ignored (comments)
  20. ;
  21. ; The flags:
  22. ; CM    = Crashmail, (Open 24 hours for mail sessions)
  23. ; MO    = MailOnly, not open for normal BBS users
  24. ; XA    = MailerType, not important for you
  25. ; HST   = Uses a USRobotics HST modem H14 = HST 14400, H16 = HST 16800
  26. ; ZYX   = Uses a ZyXEL modem
  27. ; CSP   = Uses a CSP modem
  28. ; V32   = Uses V32 9600 baud
  29. ; V32B  = Uses V32B 14400 baud
  30. ; V42B  = Uses V42B error correcting and compression
  31. ; MNP   = Uses MNP error correcting and compression
  32. ; ISDNC = Uses a ISDN line. Only ISDN calls available

  34. ; If you have several nodelists:
  35. ; Just copy the files together like: COPY Z2-LIST.001+PNTLIST.001 NODELIST.001

  37. ; Hope this is enough for you to see how the lists are build
  38. ;
  39. ;                               WARNING:
  40. ;
  41. ; You may only request files from systems where the sysop has agreed that
  42. ; you do that, because when you request files they will not count on your
  43. ; download ratio, and most sysops likes best that you go online and download
  44. ; the files. Remember the sysop can see in his logfile who you are, so
  45. ; please contact any sysop before you start requesting.
  46. ; You may not use other peoples nodenumbers, that will be a violation of
  47. ; the rules in fidonet and you risk being excluded from a lot of BBS systems
  48. ; if you use this system and does not have made a deal with the sysops.
  49. ; You could also deside to be a point in fidonet (a point is a user which gets
  50. ; his mail, through a mailsystem.), then you can request files freely a lot
  51. ; more places without risking any angry sysops, contact a fidonode near your
  52. ; city for more information on joining fidonet as a point. (Not me please).
