╦ Some time later, Tom's father made him
a whip of barley straw so that Tom could
help him drive the cattle.
╩ One day, as Tom was trying to get a calf
back to its mother, Tom stumbled and went
rolling, head over heels, into a furrow.
Along flew a raven and swooped down and
picked Tom up in his bill.
