YAESU.BAS is an adaptation for the IBM PC of the program listing that
was printed in the October 1985 issue of QST. The only changes made,
other than syntax, were in the formatting of the screen.
The program will control a Yaesu FT-757GX (the original model, not the
new Mark II) when used in conjunction with a simple RS-232 to TTL
interface as outlined in the QST article.
I found it impossible to find the 3 pin molex connector to plug into the
back of the rig, but Radio Shack sells some connectors that can be cut
down using a coping saw and/or file. A DIP IC socket should work also.
Included is a Turbo Basic compiled version of the program.
