GEOCLOCK 4.5 is a minor revision of GEOCLOCK 4.4. The primary change is
the addition of a setup program (SETUPGEO) that helps to configure time
zone and city information. The program and data files (GEOCxxxx.ZIP) are
now distributed separately from the maps (GEOMAPxx.ZIP). The following
improvements have been added (* indicates new since 4.44):
* SETUPGEO program added to aid in time zone, city, and graphics
configuration.
* Maps have been revised to reflect border changes, including former
Yugoslavia.
* HTS and HTA commands globally place primary city on maps
* FCOLOR command controls the color of the frame around the map.
* INCLUDE can be used from the command line and in scripts.
* POSMN command allows map title to be placed anywhere on a map.
* TEXTBG command allows text background color to be set.
* NAUTICAL and STATUTE commands control the display of mile distances.
* ST time zone added to give true local sun time
Script file processing added, including SCRIPT, RANDOM, REPEAT, and HALT.
Two new font sizes - T (4x6) and S (4x8)
FONT-E, FONT-M, FONT-S, and FONT-T commands added to set the default font
for the city and time display on maps.
Filled circle command (DRAWFCIRCLE)
While zooming, Z switches to the smallest map containing the point under
the cursor.
F, T, U, and R key commands can be used on the DOS command line and in
DAT files.
Both F1 and Escape can be used to exit help menus.
LLCOLOR commands controls color and style of lat/long lines and labels.
The following bugs have been fixed in this version:
* SCRIPT command now works from the command line.
Incorrect sun display if ortho maps are displayed upon GEOCLOCK startup
without NDP.
Erroneous sun display on ortho maps at certain times of day and year.
Erroneous sun display on ortho maps at certain times of day and year when
using SVGA.
Improper handling of script lines near the end of script files.
Incorrect date under very rare circumstances.
Various rare errors due to incorrect data initialization.
