  9. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION Terra∞Time is a program which tracks and displays
  10. the local time in as many as 64 cities all around the globe.  Unlike
  11. other programs of this type, Terra∞Time accounts not only for time zone
  12. effects but also for daylight savings time at each city.  Information is
  13. provided on a full-screen color non-graphics world map display.  Windows
  14. and menu-driven commands are used for program modifications.  Program
  15. options provide users with the ability to tailor the display for their
  16. specific needs.  Military or 12 hour clock can be selected and the
  17. layout of the world map can be varied to suit the user.  Additional
  18. program features include time zone differences, great circle distances
  19. between cities, currency conversion and a special alarm feature which
  20. can be set for any world city time.

  23. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS This program is designed for IBM Personal
  24. Computers and close compatibles.  It will execute on the IBM-PC, PC-XT,
  25. PC-AT, PS/2 and PC-jr.  DOS Version 2.1 or later is required.
  26. Terra∞Time does not require an internal clock and will accept the time
  27. set by you during DOS boot-up.  Of course, the use of the internal clock
  28. will allow for automatic timekeeping.

  30. Since the program relies extensively on color, a color monitor is
  31. recommended.  The program will run, however, unmodified, on many
  32. monochrome machines.  Terra∞Time requires about 128K of memory and does
  33. not require BASIC to operate.

  35. Terra∞Time V5.0 is an enhanced version of GeoChron V1.0.  The name has
  36. been changed for legal reasons.  Please destroy any copies you have of
  37. the latter program and use this newest version of Terra∞Time in its
  38. place.

  41. PROGRAM REVISIONS

  43. VERSION 2.1
  44. This revision fixes a problem in the routine which saves data to the
  45. disk file.  Also writes LOCAL TIME date at bottom of screen in new
  46. format, eg 09Jan88 rather than 1-09-88.  Documentation now explains how
  47. to alter plotting position of city points by editting the data file.

  50. This version fixes an input/output error which caused bad calculations
  51. in great circle distance routine (had no effect on time).  In addition,
  52. the following enhancements are incorporated:
  53.     - City data changed to include all US time zones
  54.     - One key exit from main screen via <escape> key
  55.     - Commas now allowed in user-supplied title in data file
  56.     - A screen lock feature which leaves display running but locks
  57.       screen with secret user code to prevent tampering while user
  58.       is away from computer
  59.     - A "Currency" feature is added which computes money translation
  60.       between user-selected cities
  61.     - Additional improvements introduced to increase program processing
  62.       speed
  63.     - Documentation further enhanced in file TT.DOC
