  5. Subject: pk232 fix and mod

  7. 1. The PK-232 will cause ssb and fm
  8.    distortion when plugged in to a TS-
  9.    680 (aux port). My fix has been to
  10.    add a 470 pF. Hi-Q disk cap. in 
  11.    series with the TX-audio line, and
  12.    leave the mic gain at maximum. I
  13.    also have the 600 ohm divider resis-
  14.    tor (R 151 radio 1) lifted but don't
  15.    know if it still helps after the cap
  16.    mod.
  17. 2. When switching from Com-Fax to Com-
  18.    Pakratt cartridges the RTTY Rx-after
  19.    -Tx key F7 is disabled. The fix is
  20.    to enter Terminal mode on Com-
  21.    Pakratt (<C=> t) and then enter
  22.    conmode converse.

  24. 3. I have received mods to convert the
  25.    PK-232 into a dual-port tnc for
  26.    gateway dual-rig use from VE7DIE @ 
  27.    VE7DIE. Drop him a note if inter-
  28.    ested.
