  9. AMSAT-NA will support a multi-function ALINS operation associated with the 
  10. launch of PHASE-3C.  During the period just before, during and just after the 
  11. launch, special information nets, bulletins and broadcasts will distribute 
  12. last minute information.  
  13.  
  14. The ARIANESPACE launch schedule will control when specific nets and bulletins 
  15. will be broadcast.  This plan is based on a launch date of 10Jun88 and launch 
  16. windows of 11:12-12:05z and 13:30-14:45z.  Should a change in launch day or 
  17. time occur, this plan will be updated accordingly.

  19. SPECIAL AMSAT-NA NETS AND NET FORMATS

  22. North American AMSAT nets will operate on their normal schedules on Sunday, 
  23. 05Jun, Tuesday, 07Jun, Sunday, 12Jun and Tuesday, 14Jun.  These nets will 
  24. emphisize discussion of the PHASE-3C spacecraft and ground station operating 
  25. requirements.

  27. AMSAT-NA News Service bulletins and orbital elements will be covered but net 
  28. control stations are encouraged to prepare themselves to focus on PHASE-3C 
  29. issues.

  31. Special AMSAT-NA nets will be held on Wednesday, 08Jun, through Monday, 13Jun
  32. at the usual times on 3840kHz.  Last minute pre-launch and post-launch 
  33. information will be available including orbital elements and plans for the 
  34. first motor burn.

  40. PHASE-3C information a few days before and a few days after launch.  Involved

  79. LAUNCH TELECONFERENCE BROADCAST

  82. A teleconference of launch information sources and broadcast stations will be 
  83. held from 30-minutes before the primary launch window opens till shutdown of 
  84. the ARIANE-4 third stage (approximately 20-minutes after liftoff).  Please 
  85. note the broadcasted teleconference will NOT stay on-the-air for the one-hour 
  86. delay before OSCAR-13 actually starts beacon transmission.  (AMSAT-NA 
  87. leadership will be in touch with international operations intended to receive 
  88. initial beacon transmissions.  Results will be described in North America 
  89. during the special evening 75m net cycles outlined above.)

  126. All teleconference arrangements are being handled by W0RPK using the services 
  127. of TELECONNECT located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  All calls will be made and 
  128. billed from the bridge using discount long distance billing.

  130. Calls from the teleconference bridge will be made 10:30-10:45z and the 
  131. teleconference will open at 10:45z.  The operator is being advised of the 
  132. various reverse auto-patch instructions which have been provided.  The 
  133. telephone number 515-961-6406 (W0RPK) should be used to report problems during 
  134. the teleconference.

  136. Broadcast and information stations are encouraged to start their nets one-hour 
  137. before the launch window opens (30-minutes before the teleconference starts) 
  138. to clear their frequencies and to provide preliminary information.
