The latest version of PackCom can be obtained through the following methods:
Via download from PCEVE (713) 955-7564
File on PCEVE to download is PACKCOM.ARC, this will always be the
latest released version of PackCom.
Also available on PCEVE are test versions of PACKCOM. Normally the test
versions are called PAKCOMxx.ARC or PKCOMxxx.ARC, the 'xx' or 'xxx' will
indicate the version number.
To download from PCEVE you must be registered by leaving a comment to the
SYSOP the first time you call. Then call back in a day or two, to
download the latest version of PACKCOM.ARC. Also when registering, if
you indicate your amateur call sign, you will also be allowed to use
the BBS's Doors function to access the local Houston packet radio
network.
PCEVE is also available via the PC PURSUIT network.

Two options are available:
1) Send self address stamped disk mailer with formatted floppy disk
and $2 for shipping and handling charge.
2) Send a note and $5 for shipping and handling charge.
With either option, tell us which version of PACKCOM you have, so we can
make sure you get a new version.
Although Documentation and Version notes are available in the distributed ARC
file. If you just can not figure out how to make something work or you have
found an obvious bug in the PACKCOM program. Technical support is available by
contacting Walter Holmes WD5GAZ in one of the following methods:
1) Send Packet message to WD5GAZ @ WB5BBW.
2) Phone BBS above and leaving message to the SYSOP.
3) Addressing a letter to Walter at the above address.
4) Call Walter on the voice phone (713) 955-1351.
When acquiring a copy of PACKCOM, if you leave the following information we
will attempt to keep you informed of new PACKCOM releases via packet mail.
New PACKCOM releases are irregular but occur on almost a monthly basis. Only
significant changes to PACKCOM will be announced via BULK packet mail.
