  8. Directory lister & utility for ARC ARJ LZH LZS PAK ZIP ZOO.  User-
  9. configurable to display either ZIP- or LZH-style compression ratios.
  10. Listings may be sorted by Name, Extension, Date, Original size, Packed size,
  11. compression Ratio, or left Unsorted.  Converts self-extracting archives to
  12. normal archives.  Various other options.  New:  Fixes innocuous bugs
  13. involving /R, /D and /U switches.

  17.   CompuServe:  IBMSYS/Lib 6                 - RVS091.ZIP
  18. Directory viewer & utility for ARC ARJ LZH LZS PAK ZIP ZOO.  Scrollable
  19. version of RView, with a different focus.  User-configurable to display
  20. either ZIP- or LZH-style compression ratios.  Listings may be sorted by
  21. Name, Extension, Date, Original size, Packed size, compression Ratio, or
  22. left Unsorted.  Employs external extractors and an external viewer (all
  23. user-selectable), to extract and view files from within any of the supported
  24. archives types.

  29. Update to one of my most frequently reached for programs.  Binary editor,
  30. with record orientation, which allows searches for either text or hex
  31. strings.  Changes from v3.01 include:  Default record size now set to
  32. maximum allowed by number of lines on screen.  (Maximum record size is 576
  33. bytes with a 50-line screen.)  The program draws from a common library of
  34. routines shared with other programs I've written.  Color or black-and-white
  35. mode automatically determined at program start-up.

  39.   CompuServe:  IBMSYS/Lib 6                 - DBV120.ZIP
  40. Simple viewer for taking quick looks inside dBASE-compatible .DBF files in
  41. record & browse modes.  Does single-field, scan-across searches.  File
  42. header info, including field definitions, can be displayed either in
  43. interpreted (human-readable) format, or as hex bytes.  New:  A new switch
  44. has been added to enable field editing in record and browse modes.

  47.        TITLE:  ZIP Format View v1.10, 03/29/92
  48.   CompuServe:  IBMSYS/Lib 6                 - ZFV110.ZIP
  49. Allows you to see how a ZIP file is laid out on disk.  Uses windowing to
  50. step down to lower levels of detail.  Displays header offsets and most field
  51. values, including their interpretation.  Admittedly, this program isn't for
  52. everyone.  For the curious and those with a need to know, however, this
  53. program displays technical data on ZIP files that I haven't seen in any
  54. other program.  New:  Select files for viewing from a pop-up, scrollable
  55. directory window.  Updated for ZIP 2.0.

  57.     FILENAME:  CRC.EXE
  58.        TITLE:  Cyclic Redundancy Checker v1.20, 02/08/92
  59.   CompuServe:  IBMSYS/Lib 3                 - CRC120.ZIP
  60. Displays 16- and 32-bit CRC's of files or directory contents.  16-bit CRC
  61. same as for ARC, LZH, LZS, PAK and ZOO files.  32-bit CRC same as for ARJ
  62. and ZIP.  "CRC filespec" displays individual CRC's for the specified
  63. file(s).  "CRC path" displays accumulated CRC's of all files contained in
  64. the specified directory.  May be used to compare files/directories on
  65. physically separated machines, or to see if changes have occurred over time.
  66. New:  The functions of both CRC v1.14 and CRCDIR v1.00 have been combined
  67. into a single program.

  72. Files compressed with AXE, DIET, EXEPACK, ICE, LEXEM, LZEXE, PKLITE,
  73. SCRNCH, SHRINK & TINYPROG are displayed in the left window.  Uncompressed
  74. COM/EXE files are displayed in the right window.  Compress and uncompress
  75. individual and groups of files from within the program.  Navigate between
  76. drives/directories by pointing and shooting.  New:  Extends recognition of
  77. files compressed with LZEXE (hacked headers) and DIET (additional headers).

  80.        TITLE:  DirX Command-line lister v1.08, 01/01/92
  81.   CompuServe:  IBMSYS/Lib 6                 - DRXC10.ZIP
  82. Smaller, simpler version of DirX for when you just want a listing of
  83. compressed and uncompressed files.  Listing is redirectable to printer or
  84. file.  Mimicks DOS's DIR command, to an extent.  No sorting is performed.
  85. New:  Extends recognition of files compressed with LZEXE (hacked headers)
  86. and DIET (additional headers).

  89.        TITLE:  Directory Delete v1.24, 07/15/89
  90.   CompuServe:  IBMSYS/Lib 1                 - DDEL12.ARC
  91. This program will remove entire subdirectory trees from your hard disk -
  92. even those containing read-only, hidden and system files and directories.
  93. It will even delete the current directory.  The executable file for this
  94. version is significantly smaller than before.  Modula-2 source code
  95. included.
