Infrared Driver
1.10 (New) Supports Win-OS2.
Note for installation in Win-OS2
--------------------------------
- The infrared driver for Win-OS2 must be installed from a DOS command
prompt in OS/2. It will not be able to set up your OS/2 CONFIG.SYS
correctly if you attempt to install it from DOS or Windows DOS
command prompt.
- Once you have completed the Win-OS2 driver installation, you must
shutdown and restart OS/2 for the changes to take effect.
- IMPORTANT: The COM_DIRECT_ACCESS Win-OS2 session setting should be
ON. If this is not done, application programs that use the infrared
driver, may appear to hang. If you experience this problem, press
Alt-Esc followed by Ctl-Esc to get Window List, then close the
program.
- The install program modifies CONFIG.SYS in the current OS/2 boot drive.
If you have more than one OS/2 boot drives, you must either boot
from each of them and run the install program against each, or
edit the CONFIG.SYS files to add the following statement:
DEVICE=<path>IBMIRVDD.SYS
where <path> specifies the subdirectory that the file IBMIRVDD.SYS
is copied to.
- If you are using OS/2 Warp 3.0, the instructions for "OS/2 for Windows"
apply. Refer to the online help in the UINSTALL program panel.
