  1. This is the alpha release of StickyFront. To install, run the self-
  2. extracting archive and install to a directory somewhere. Then manually
  3. run stickyfront.exe (this will be automated in the next release). To
  4. remove it, use Add/Remove programs as usual.

  6. Please note that as this is an alpha release, a number of options do not
  7. work, namely:
  8.  
  9. * No Hot-key support
  10. * No mouse click support
  11. * No web support
  12.  
  13. Also, a number of other problems exist, including:
  14.  
  15. * On Windows 95 it isn't stable and some things don't work. Anyone sensible is
  16. using NT by now anyway ;)
  17. * The stick/unstick sounds don't sound sometimes
  18. * Some windows don't get the extra menu options
  19. * Double-clicking on the system menu icon to close the window doesn't always
  20. work.
  21. * There are many bugs

  23. Despite all this, I'm still releasing it. Why? Well, its functionality is
  24. pretty handy, and as I'm tied up with contract work I don't have time to develop
  25. it at present. So I'm releasing this alpha release as freeware. Please
  26. report bugs if you could to stickyfront@nedprod.com.

  28. It shouldn't cause any damage to your machine, but please be aware that if
  29. it does it isn't my fault!
