  1. Installing text to speech on PIRCH 081

  3. IF USING TEXT ASSIST:
  4.  
  5. add the following items under options/text to speech:
  6.  
  7. Application: tassdde.exe (full path i.e., c:\ctsnd\tassdde.exe)
  8.  
  9. Service/topic: TASSDDE|TALK
  10.  
  11. DDE Item Format: NULL
  12.  
  13. NOTE: if you do not have tassdde.exe you must download it from Creative Labs homepage
  14. at http://www.creaf.com (SEARCH ON TASDDE OR TASSDDE WITHOUT THE EXTENSION).

  16. once you download the file, explode it into tassdde.exe and readme.txt. Place file
  17. where you want it (soundblaster dir is nice :))

  23. Application : monologw.exe (full path i.e., c:\monolog\monologw.exe

  36. Test your setup by typing     /speak testing 1 2 3
  37. You should hear the text being spoken

  39. To hear all text spoken in channels... add
  40. ON TEXT:*:#:/speak *1         to level 000 of events and make sure events are 
  41.                               enabled and the level is enabled
  42.  
  43. To hear all text spoken in private messages only... add
  44. ON TEXT:*:?:/speak *1         to level 000 of events and make sure events are 
  45.                               enabled and the level is enabled
