  24. Description of Working Group:
  25.  
  26.      The DECnet Phase IV MIB Working Group is chartered to prepare 
  27.      a recommendation to the IESG evaluating the standards track status  
  28.      of RFC 1289 (the DECnet Phase IV MIB).
  29.  
  30.      The recommendation will document implementation, interoperability,
  31.      and deployment experience.  If this experience suggests that changes
  32.      should be made to the document, a new draft may be prepared.  The
  33.      recommendation will report one of four outcomes:
  34.  
  35.         - That RFC 1289 should be advanced from Proposed to Draft status,
  36.           without changes (if no problems are found).
  37.  
  38.         - That a draft prepared by the working group, should replace RFC
  39.           1289, and be designated a Draft Standard (if only minor
  40.           changes are made).
  41.  
  42.         - That a draft prepared by the working group, should replace RFC
  43.           1289, and be designated a Proposed Standard (if major
  44.           changes or feature enhancements are made).

  46.         - That RFC 1289 should be designated as Historic (if this
  47.           technology is problematic).

  50.  Goals and Milestones:

  52.      Done       Re-activate the Working Group to advance the Decnet Phase IV 
  53.                 MIB to Draft Standard.                                         
  54.  
  55.      Done       Post an Internet-Draft of the results from the survey of 
  56.                 implemention and operational experience.  Post a revised 
  57.                 version of the MIB if necessary.                               
  58.  
  59.    Oct 93       Submit the DECnet Phase IV MIB to the IESG for consideration as
  60.                 a Draft Standard.
