  10. The group met and discussed methods for determining the user population.
  11. Two approaches were discussed:
  12.  
  13.    o generate a list of hosts from the DNS and then take samples of
  14.      users on different hosts.  Use these samples to extrapolate to the
  15.      total population.
  16.    o poll on a per-domain basis on the assumption that site admins know
  17.      how many users they have.
  18.  
  19. Craig Partridge has agreed to write up plans for doing both types of
  20. surveys.
