  28. From the team that developed the Internet-in-a-box, there is interest
  29. in pursuing IETF work in the realm of ``ato-registration''.  This BOF
  30. will be held to discuss IETF interest in such an activity and how it 
  31. should proceed.

  33. The description of the work being submitted:

  35. Before a client system and server can interact, they must be configured
  36. to know about each other.  The Remote Account Maintenance Protocol (RAMP)
  37. was designed to ease the process of account creation and machine 
  38. registration on server systems.  RAMP clients create their own accounts
  39. by populating pre-configured templates on RAMP servers.  This frees Server
  40. Administrators from some mundane tasks, while providing users instant
  41. access to certain server resources.
