  73. Quick Start Instructions:
  74.  
  75.   Windows 3.1/NT:
  76.     Go to "File" menu under program manager and choose Run.  At the
  77.     Command Line box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.
  78.     This will install a group folder with icons for this cdrom.
  79.  
  80.   MSDOS Quick Start:
  81.     Change to your CDROM drive and type "view".
  82.     Example:
  83.           C:\> D:
  84.           D:\> view
  85.  
  86.   Windows 95:
  87.     Insert the cdrom into the cdrom drive.  This will automatically
  88.     start a CDROM browser program called WinView.
  89.     Alternatively, you can also install the program group and icon
  90.     by selecting the "Start" menu and choosing "Run".  At the Run
  91.     box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.

  93.   Linux/FreeBSD/Unix:
  94.     The easiest way to browse through the material on this disc using a
  95.     Unix-like operating system, is with an html browser.  Point your
  96.     browser to the file called 00_index.htm in the root directory of
  97.     the cdrom drive.  Note - this will only work on systems with
  98.     Rockridge extensions long file name support.

  101. Using the 00_WIN.HTM and 00_INDEX.HTM:
  102.  
  103. We have included 00_index.htm and 00_win.htm files so the user may use
  104. a Web browser to view our disc.  If you use DOS, Windows 3.1, or Windows
  105. 95, please select the 00_win.htm.  Otherwise, use the 00_index.htm to
  106. browse through this disc.

  108. In order to view this disc using the 00_index.htm and 00_win.htm files,
  109. point your Web browser to the root level 00_index.htm file.
  110.  
  111. For example, in Netscape/Mosaic:
  112.  
  113.         1) Choose File/Open File (or Open Site/Choose File)
  114.         2) Select your CDROM Drive
  115.         3) Select the appropriate file (00_index.htm or 00_win.htm)
  116.         4) Click on OK

  118. The 00_index.htm and 00_win.htm files have been tested under Netscape
  119. 3.0, Netscape 4.0, and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  125. To make browsing the disc easier, we have included the program WinView
  126. for Windows, and the program VIEW for MSDOS on the CDROM.  These programs
  127. allow you to page through index files, browse through directories on the
  128. CD, view documentation and uncompress/install the program(s) you want
  129. onto your hard disk.
