Thank you for choosing InventorLabs.
Before you enter into the worlds of Thomas Edison,
Alexander Graham Bell and James Watt and install
InventorLabs, please read all of these release notes.

1. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Windows:
486/33 MHz or higher IBM-compatible PC
8MB RAM * Windows 3.1 or higher (including Windows¿ 95)
8MB hard disk space * SVGA display * Double-speed CD-ROM drive
MPC2-compatible sound card (22MHz, 16-Bit) * Mouse
2. INSTALLATION
a. Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups:
1. Start Windows, and insert the InventorLabs CD-ROM into your
CD-ROM drive.
2. From the Windows Program Manager, choose FILE, then RUN.
3. At Command line, type d:\install (where <d:> is the name of your
cd-rom drive). Then press ENTER or RETURN on your keyboard.
4. Click "I accept" to proceed with installation.
5. Click "continue" to run InventorLabs setup. You will be prompted
to indicate on which hard disk you would like the program group installed.
The Setup program will then create a directory and Program Group for
InventorLabs.
6. If you do not already have QuickTime for Windows 2.0.3 installed,
click "Install" to install in your system.
7. If QuickTime for Windows 2.0.3 has already been installed in your system,
click "exit."
8. To run the software, double-click on the InventorLabs icon from the
HMI program group.
b. Windows 95:
1. Insert the InventorLabs CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
2. Double-click on the "My Computer" icon.
3. Double-click on the "InventorLabs" CD-ROM icon.
4. Double-click on Install.exe icon from from within the "InventorLabs
CD-ROM" window.
5. Click "I accept" to proceed with installation.
6. Click "continue" to run InventorLabs setup. You will be prompted to indicate
on which hard disk you would like the program group installed. The Setup program
will then create an InventorLabs icon inside an HMI Program Group.
7. If you do not already have QuickTime for Windows 2.0.3 installed, click
"Install" to install in your system.
8. If QuickTime for Windows 2.0.3 has already been installed in your system,
click "exit."
9. To run the software, double-click on the InventorLabs icon from the HMI
program group.
3. TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
a. QuickTime for Windows 2.0.3 (Windows 3.1, Windows 95):
InventorLabs is intended to be run with QuickTime for Windows 2.0.3
installed in your system. If you are experiencing problems with QTVR,
please check that you are running QuickTime for Windows 2.0.3.
It is required to run QTVR. If you do not have QuickTime 2.0.3 installed, or
have a previous version, please install the copy included.
b. QuickTime VR
Please check the booklet for helpful hints and information about navigating
in QuickTime VR.
c. Monitor Color Depth
The artwork displayed in InventorLabs
uses 16-bit color (65,000 colors) to display the full richness of the images,
and we recommend that you set your display driver to 65,000 color mode or higher
to obtain the full value of the product.
Windows 3.1 Video Setup:
1. In Windows Program Manager, double-click on the Windows Setup icon in the
"Main" Program group.
2. Select Change System Settings from the Options menu.
3. From the Display drop down menu, select a setting with 65,000 (65k)
colors, e.g. "SuperVGA (SVGA) 800x600 65k," or "640x480 65k."
4. You may be prompted to insert your original Windows diskettes to install
the relevant driver.
5. You will be prompted to re-start Windows to activate
the new display driver setting.
Please make sure that you have a back-up copy
of your original display drivers before installing the SVGA driver, in case
you need to reinstall them later. If you are still having difficulty setting
the 65k color mode, consult your display card documentation.
Windows 95 Video Setup:
1. If you use QuickRes or a similar video resolution and color-depth changer,
use it to select a 16-bit setting for your monitor. Otherwise, here follows
standard Windows 95 directions for video setup.
2. Click on Start Button/Settings/Control Panel
3. Click on Display Icon in Control Panel
4. Click on Settings tab in Display Properties windows
5. In Color Palette drop-down menu, select "High color (16 bit)" -
depending on your video RAM, the desktop area setting may change to a
lower resolution than currently set.
6. Restart Windows 95 to activate
new settings.
