This is freeware, is supplied “as is”, no warranty whatsoever etc. etc.
This is the 1001st THRUST clone... ...and also it’s far from being a
complete game — OH NO! Just forget about it!
Move the mouse left and right to turn the ship.
Click SELECT to thrust ahead.
Click MENU to switch on energy shield, or to get fuel if you’re near it, or
to pick up the sphere if you keep the button pressed while you fly away from
the sphere.
Click ADJUST to fire.
At first, it is very difficult not to crash into the ground almost
immediately, but once you have some practice, it becomes addictive!
In order to finish a level you have to get the green sphere and fly into the
sky with it. You *would* (in a full version) get extra points if you
destroyed the “Factory” first and still managed to leave the level before
the world ceases to exist (20 secs after the “Factory” has been destroyed).
This will run on anything from ARM 2 to StrongARM. You need 2MB RAM and a
monitor capable of displaying 320x256 at 50Hz.

By the way: All the game graphics (except for the animation of the ship)
were created with good old Paint (no joke — it took me ages).
It is very unlikely that this will be developed any further because it would
mean an awful lot of work to:
• design more graphics (though a 2nd set of gfx has already been finished —
take a look at !Thrust.Gfx2)
• design more levels
• implement things which make the gameplay really interesting, like switches
or timers steering doors, enemy ships, “magnetic” objects, smart bombs
etc.
• make gfx segments smaller than 32x32 possible (8x8 would have been a good
choice, but it’s too late now).
• make it work under VGA resolution. This is non-trivial, as the whole
concept relies on a 50Hz screen refresh rate.
