Introduction
------------
It is the year 2764, and the earth is under attack from a race of computer
controlled alien droids (using the latest in PC junk!) they've allready
taken over most other planets in the solar system and now they want earth.
Is it the end ?
Meanwhile at a top secret base in england you (yes you!) are getting
ready to blast off in the fastest, most powerful ship on the face of
the planet.
Codename : Blue Thunder
Your Mission
------------
You must destroy as many droids as possible over 4 planets, then
go to the enermy space station, take out the droid leader, and
save the world (all in one day!).
Help
----
Blue Thunder is a very powerful ship but more advanced droids are being
made all the time so look out for bonuses to increase your fire power,
defences, and speed.
Bonuses
-------
Energy - Refill your energy by either 1/4 or 1/2
Lazer - Increase the power of your twin lazers (4 upgrades)
Speed - Gives Blue Thunder more speed (Duration of current level)
L-Pod - Up to two Lazer-Pods can be added to Blue Thunder any L-Pods
collected after that increase the lazer power from the L-Pods
(2 upgrades).
S-Pod - One Shield-Pod can be added to the front of Blue Thunder,
this is used to block most on-coming lazer fire.
You can expand the L-Pod(s) to have greater fire-cover of the screen, but
this will leave you open for lazer attack if you don't have the S-Pod.
Most bonuses will float down the screen so catch it quick if you want it,
some bonuses are hidden inside things like bases and trees so shoot
anything.
Display Panel
-------------
The display panel on the left side of the screen lists all available
bonus's so you know what to look out for, there are also three indicators
at the bottom these are :
Score
The more you kill the more points you get (obvious really!), so go for
number 1 on the hi-score table.
Lives
You have 3 lives to complete your mission, if you loose a life any
upgrades such as lazers, pods etc will be downgraded depending on what
you had before you died (so try not to die and you can't loose!).
Energy
This bar shows the state of Blue Thunder's defence system, if this drops
into the red zone (your in trouble!) then you had better find an
energy bonus quickly.
Controls
--------
Q = Up
A = Down
O = Left
P = Right
Space = Fire
Z = Detatch Pod
Keys can be defined on title screen by pressing 'D'
F1 = Pause
F2 = Unpause
Important !!
------------
Do not write-protect the disc as Blue Thunder saves the hi-scores
and other configuration information when when you quit.
You can install Blue Thunder onto a hard disk if you have one by
simply opening the directory window of the hard disk you want
to install on and drag the !Blue icon over to it.
Configure options
-----------------
Only do this if you know what you're doing!
Load the text file Default in the Data directory into !Edit,
the first letter on the first line can be changed to adjust the
way Blue Thunder selects its screen mode :
1 = Use mode 49 for Hi-Res monitors
2 = Use mode 13 for TV-Type montors
3 = Blue Thunder auto select 13/49 depending on monitor type. (Default)
