  6. Stay on the baseline or rush the net, but don't get caught in 
  7. no-man's land.  Return to the middle of the baseline after every 
  8. shot, or risk watching the ball go past !

  10. First serves come flat and hard.  Second serves have more topspin
  11. and may land closer to the net.

  13. Practice.  Use of the ball machine and service trainer is a good
  14. idea until you have the hang of things.  The computer opponents 
  15. aren't easy so all the practice you can get is worth while !

  17. Grass gives low, fast bounces, and lot of net play.
  18. Clay gives slower bounces and baseline to baseline rallies.
  19. Hard Court falls between the two.

  21. Avoid playing opponents on their best surfaces.

  23. To handicap a player in a two player game, set the stronger player to
  24. full manual mode and the weaker to Manual moves.
