  3. In Issue 38, we saw a reader asking for help to get past the clock
  4. in the merchants House.  Well another P.R.Edwards was stuck in the 
  5. same area and has come up with the answer.......  Thanks to him for
  6. for writing in and solving the problem.....

  9. Click on the love poem book and read, go to the first page and  
  10. read the first line SHE LIFTS FROM THE ( MIST ), second verse WHEN 
  11. TIME COMES FOR ( WINE ), TURN THE PAGE, then the line RARE TIME SHE
  12. ( TOIL ), second verse THE TIME ( DARK ) FALLS.

  14. WRITE DOWN :  MIST, WINE, TOIL, DARK, IN THAT ORDER.

  16. Shut the book and click on clock face.
  17.  
  18. Now click on the segments, MIST, WINE, TOIL, DARK and you will find 
  19. a secret alcove open up in the side of the fireplace.  Take the book
  20. and read it from cover to cover, inside it will tell you what he
  21. said to his sweetheart ( HOW MUCH ).  The number of stepping stones
  22. (5).  And her favourite nursery rhyme ( THE BOUNCING BEAN ).

  24. Now go through the portal and (1) tell the merchant you do not know
  25. where the artist has gone.  (2) That you have a message from his  
  26. sweetheart and (3) That she wants the amulet as a sign of his trust.

  28. When he ask you the questions answer them with HOW MUCH, 5, THE 
  29. BOUNCING BEAN.

  31. Although these questions can be asked at random this is the sequence
  32. I answered them in, the master will then give you the amulet and you
  33. will be thrown back out the portal, take the amulet to HOUGH in the
  34. tavern.
