  1. About this Font
  2.      This font is distributed as shareware as part of a
  3. promotion for the Scriptorium Font Library.
  4.      If you use this font for thirty days or for any
  5. publication or commercial purpose you are obligated to
  6. register it as shareware.
  7.      To register the font you may pay a $5 registration fee to
  8. Ragnarok, or you may order a sampler disk or the disk on which
  9. the font is featured for $15.  The later option is the best
  10. deal because you'll get a whole disk of legitimate, registered
  11. fonts for a very low price.
  12.      If for some reason you wish to distribute this font as
  13. part of a shareware collection or package, please contact us
  14. first at the address (netmail or US Mail) or phone number
  15. given below.
  16.      The rest of this is our standard catalog.  If you like
  17. this font you'll love some of the hundred-plus other fonts in
  18. the Scriptorium Font Library.

  21. The Scriptorium Font Library
  22.      The Scriptorium Font Library is a collection of fonts
  23. designed by Dave Nalle of Ragnarok Games for use in their
  24. publications.  These fonts have now been made available by
  25. mailorder direct from Ragnarok.
  26.      Provided here is an up to date listing of all the font
  27. disks available at this time.  Each disk includes as many
  28. fonts as we can fit on it.  They are fully registered when you
  29. purchase the disk.

  31. SFL-1001: Font Sampler I
  32.      This disk includes 3 text fonts, 3 calligraphic fonts, 3
  33. display fonts and 3 specialty fonts taken from our original
  34. series of font disks.  It includes our very popular Taranis
  35. font as well as the new Fabliaux font, the medieval
  36. calligraphic fonts Bastarda and Courthand, plus two fonts from
  37. the Ysgarth role-playing game and the uniquely mystical Goetic
  38. font based on 18th century magical scripts.  $15.  Update $5.

  40. SFL-1002: Font Sampler II
  41.      This contains a new variety selection of fonts, including
  42. text, display, decorative and calligraphic fonts taken mostly
  43. from our second series of font disks.  $15.  Update $5.

  45. SFL-1003: Font Sampler III
  46.      This contains a special variety selection of fonts which
  47. are not on any of our regular disks and may not be for a 
  48. while, including Golgotha, Eglantine and a number of others,
  49. particularly decorative initials and art fonts. $15.  Update $5.

  51. SFL-2001: Text Fonts
  52.      This contains 10 unique serif and sans-serif fonts which
  53. meet the high resolution demands of all text uses.  The
  54. collection includes some elegant traditional fonts (both serif
  55. and sans-serif) like our Tancred and Palomides fonts, plus
  56. some very unusual offerings like the Kelmscott font based on
  57. William Morris' Troy font from the Kelmscott edition of
  58. Chaucer's works.  $15.  Update $5.

  60. SFL-2002: More Text Fonts
  61.      A collection of sophisticated and flexible text fonts
  62. based on classic styles and on modern designs.  Includes 6
  63. serif fonts and 6 sans serif fonts.  Available in the Fall of
  64. 1993.  $15.  Update $5.

  66. SFL-3001: Display Fonts
  67.      This disk features 10 attractive display fonts, including
  68. several art nouveau and medieval styles, plus a couple of
  69. unusual special use fonts.  Our favorites are the Starfield
  70. font, which looks like a scattered field of stars, the
  71. Buccaneer font, drawn from 17th century wanted posters and the
  72. Ariosto and Elysian fonts based on hand drawn fonts of the
  73. Munich Jugendstil movement of the 1890s.  Because these are
  74. display fonts they may not all include both upper and lower
  75. case letters, but they include all characters which are
  76. available and we will expand many of the character sets as we
  77. continue to work with them.  $15.  Update $5.

  79. SFL-3002: More Display Fonts
  80.      This disk features 12 new display fonts, including a
  81. number of interesting Art Nouveau and early modern book plate
  82. styles, such as Beaumarchais, Averoigne and Cymbeline.  $15.

  85. SFL-4001: Calligraphic Fonts
  86.      This disk includes a variety of calligraphic fonts,
  87. including several Celtic-style fonts, fonts based on medieval
  88. and renaissance calligraphy and calligraphy from several 19th
  89. century art nouveau designers.   Because these are based on
  90. genuine calligraphy they may not include all the characters
  91. you may expect and may include specialty characters or strange
  92. alternate forms for some letters.  $15.  Update $5.

  94. SFL-4002: More Calligraphic Fonts
  95.      This disk includes a variety of medieval English, French
  96. and Italian lettering styles plus several Eastern European
  97. styles and a special font based on the calligraphy of Howard
  98. Pyle.  This disk is now available. $15.  Update $5.

  100. SFL-5001: Specialty Fonts
  101.      A collection of fonts for languages which don't use the
  102. English alphabet, including both obscure real world and
  103. historical languages and role-playing game world languages.
  104. Check out the Bahairic and Futhark fonts if you want something
  105. really different.  Oh, and did you say you were going mad
  106. because you couldn't decorate your computer-generated icons
  107. without Church Slavonic?  Well, try Patriarch.  It reads in
  108. English, but looks like Church Slavonic.  $15.  Update $5.

  110. SFL - 6001: Decorative Fonts
  111.      A special assortment of art fonts where each letter is a
  112. decorative initial or small picture.  It includes several
  113. illuminated manuscript alphabets, the extremely intricate
  114. Maidens font and some Art Nouveau floral motifs.  Because of
  115. the detail of these decorative initials only 5 fonts are
  116. presented on this disk, but they are well worth it.  $15.

  119. SFL - 6002: More Decorative Fonts
  120.      This collection of decorative fonts includes some
  121. medieval classics and some very detailed 19th century fonts,
  122. as well as decroative initials based on the works of Howard
  123. Pyle and John D. Batten.  Because of the intricacy of these
  124. fonts only 6 fonts are presented on this disk.  $15.  Update

  127. SFL - 7001: Art Fonts
  128.      This is a collection of illustrations in font form,
  129. including animals, heraldic shields, celtic spirals, arthurian
  130. miniatures, floral embellishments and more.  These fonts are
  131. intricate so onlyeight could fit on the disk.  $15.  Update
  132. $5.

  134. SFL - 8001: Runic Fonts
  135.     A collection of runic fonts, including Scandinavian
  136. runes, Celtic Ogham script and early medieval alphabets from
  137. northern Europe.  Available Fall of 1993.  $15.

  140. UPDATE POLICY
  141.      Each of our font disks is updated with new versions at
  142. least once every three months, with updates being released on
  143. the first of January, April, July and October.  If you send in
  144. your original disk and $5 we will update you with the latest
  145. versions of all the fonts on that disk.  Most of our fonts are
  146. brand new, so expect pretty substantial changes with some of
  147. the updates over the next year or so.

  149. SHAREWARE NOTE
  150.      Support shareware.  Many of our fonts are distributed as
  151. shareware for promotional purposes.  If you see our fonts
  152. being circulated as unregistered copies (without our shareware
  153. notice), let us know...or let the culprit know that you dont'
  154. approve.  These fonts are too damned cheap for anyone NOT to
  155. pay their shareware fee or order them on disk.

  160. type.  There will be a $5 reorder fee per disk if you fail to
  161. specify your computer type and get the wrong disk as a result.
