It is recommended that you run this CD-ROM tutorial by itself with no other
applications running in the background. This tutorial is setup for 256
color display and for proper playback you must run in at least 256 color
mode. If you experience problems with scrambled screens or problems with
MCI errors, obtain the latest drivers available for your video card. This
will usually take care of the problem.
This tutorial uses Video for Windows to operate correctly.
The tutorial automatically installs the necessary VFW drivers to operate.
If for some reason you have problems with screen display or program operation
and you have the latest drivers for your video card in 256 color mode, try
installing the full set of Video for Windows drivers. They are on this
CD-ROM under the \drivers\vfw11d directory. Simply run the setup program
that's in that directory and it will install the full Video For Windows set.
If you have trouble with your sound card not playing sound with the tutorial,
first test your sound card to make sure it is functioning in Windows properly.
If your sound card is functioning correctly, then check to make sure that
the "Play voice & music if supported by your system" is checked. If the
line is gray then check to see if a PC Speaker driver loaded in the
control panel under the Drivers icon. If this driver is loaded your sound
card will not work with our tutorial. Simply select it and choose Remove to
cure this problem.
Happy Computing! :)
