  6. This  textfile  contents some information about N_MENTIM.ACC.  The  name  means
  7. nothing  more than MEN(ubar)TIM(e).  This accessory shows the current date  and
  8. time in the accessories menu bar.
  9.  
  10. Install this accessories on your boot disk.  When the startup procedure is over
  11. one  of  the leftmost menu's will contain the current date and time.  These are
  12. taken from the GEMDOS time, and not from the keyboard, for those of you who are
  13. interested.  Clicking on this menu entry only shows a small alert box about the
  14. version number and the author.

  16. I was getting tired of all these little programs that installed a little  clock
  17. on  the right top of the screen:  I only wanted to know the time when **  I  **
  18. needed it. This accessory seemed like a reasonable solution. The time is  upda-
  19. ted every 5 seconds (in a GEM environment), so there is no measurable delay  in
  20. the processing of your computer.

  22. N_MENTIM works with all kinds of TOS versions, all kinds of resolutions and all
  23. kinds of monitors,  since it is based only on a few AES calls,  which are inde-
  24. pendent of the factors mentioned.

  26. N_MENTIM is written in assembly,  which makes it possible to reduce the size of
  27. it to only 449 bytes:  no packing program can shorten this!  N_MENTIM is  fully
  28. Public Domain, which means that you may not sell it, but are encouraged to copy
  29. it. In the latter case, you should be sure that N_MENTIM.ACC is accompagnied by
  30. N_MENTIM.TXT,  since programs with no manual (no matter how small they are) are
  31. of no use at all ...
