  6. You've probably played it a hundred times before. But never quite 
  7. like this!
  8.  
  9. Call it what you want, it still boils down to the dumb old game of 
  10. "follow the sequence of colours". The ST will present colours to 
  11. you one at a time. Each time the computer shows the sequence of 
  12. colours, you must match them from the keyboard exactly! (R=Red 
  13. G=Green B=Blue and Y=Yellow) The sequence is repeated after every 
  14. correct try, only with one more colour added to the end.

  16. Now that I have you completely confused, it's time for an example...
  17.  
  18.                Screen starts at black, game begins
  19.  
  20.                        COMPUTER SHOWS GREEN
  21.  
  22.               player hits G (for Green) on keyboard
  23.  
  24.                 COMPUTER SHOWS GREEN AND THEN RED
  25.  
  26.                      player hits G and then R
  27.  
  28.              COMPUTER SHOWS GREEN THEN RED THEN BLUE
  29.  
  30.                    player hits G then R Then B
  31.  
  32.        COMPUTER SHOWS GREEN THEN RED THEN BLUE THEN YELLOW
  33.  
  34.       player hits G then R then B then screws up and hits R!
  35.  
  36.        COMPUTER MAKES A DISGUSTING SOUND AND THE GAME ENDS

  38.                     Boy, sounds like fun, eh?
  39.  
  40. Each colour is presented with its own distinct tone. Every time 
  41. you complete a correct sequence, the ST will sound a 
  42. congratulatory bleep and then repeat the sequence, plus one more. 
  43. If you enter a colour incorrectly, you will lose and get the 
  44. raspberry sound! You will then be shown the number of correctly 
  45. completed sequences.

  47. It gets better...
  48.              1. The colours come faster and faster as the game 
  49.                 progresses.
  50.  
  51.              2. If you don't press a key quick enough, you will 
  52.                 lose the game.

  54.  
  55. All this excitement takes place right on the old GEM desktop! Yup, 
  56. icons, windows, mouse and all! You can even play Desktop Repeat 
  57. within running programs (as long as they use the GEM interface and 
  58. background colour).

  60. I've never been past level 12.
  61. (My cat can walk on the keyboard and go past level 12!)
