General Help
Notation used in all of the help files:
- "[F]oo" means to hit the F key; the system will echo "oo".
- ".F(oo)" means to enter a period (".") and "F"; the system will echo "oo".
"[L]ogin" logs you into the system. (You must do this.)
"[T]erminate" logs you off the system normally.
To read messages, use:
"[N]ew" to read new messages in this room.
"[O]ld" to read old messages in reverse.
"[F]orward" to read all messages from oldest to newest.
"[R]everse" to read all messages from newest to oldest.
While reading messages:
"[P]ause" stops message display until another key is pressed.
"[J]ump" immediately skips to the next paragraph.
"[N]ext" immediately skips to the next message.
"[S]top" halts message display.
To enter a message in a room:
"[E]nter" will start the message editor.
To leave a private message to another user:
".G(oto) MAIL" will take you to the e-mail room.
"[E]nter" will let you send a message to the user you specify.
To find more new messages:
"[G]oto" will take you to the next room with NEW messages.
"[?]" shows the main menu. IT ALSO LISTS ALL AVAILABLE OPTIONS AT ANY TIME.
"[.]" prefixes extended commands.
"[;]" prefixes floor commands.
"[!]" prefixes door commands.
