This is a demo of a game called "Flood" by the same people that
brought us "Populous." In this game you control a little guy who
lives under the crust of the earch. Unfortunatly, his home is
filling up with water and you have to get him to the surface.
Collect those little things that look like Coke cans and find the
"tunnel" that will get you closer to the surface.
You have the ability to stick to the walls and ceiling, but it
takes a bit of practice to keep from falling off on turns. You can
also swim for a little bit, but if you stay in the water too long
you'll drown.
As usual, this demo is from ST Action, one of the best ST
magazines in the world. Of course, it's from England so not everyone
is able to get a hold of this fine publicaton. Which is why I upload
them... Anyway, I'd just like to say that it's too bad that we don't
have this stuff here in the States. Mostly due to the attitude that
if it isn't IBM, it isn't a computer. Or, another attitude that I
have been getting is "The ST isn't supported, so why I should support
it?" This is a very defeatist attitude, and I guess most people
don't realize that if you support it, maybe other people will too.
And lastly, I'd like to say that if anyone ever tells you that
the ST is dead, or close to dying, show them the demo's I upload and
prove them wrong. You might also mention that in England there are
new titles almost every month. Maybe some of the IBM and Amiga
fascists will finally begin to listen and make software for the ST
here in the States.
Thank you for listening to ranting.
